@@FraserValleyRoseFarm You're welcome! They have a wonderful selection of healthy roses. They have great customer service too! I'm happy to recommend them.
Wonderful news! Yours is one of the voices from the rose world I trust most. I haven’t ordered from High Country before but will check out their selection when it comes on line. Thank you so much!
I agree. Jason you are the one I trust whole heartedly. If you recommend them, I will definitely check them out. Thank you. Also I have a question Jason, please? Roughly how long before roses this size will be able to go into the landscape?
This is awesome 🙌 I’m a repeat customer of High Country roses and they are amazing. There roses are super healthy and I have many growing and thriving in my garden. 🙌
High Country is an excellent source for roses with a huge inventory! Matt is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Many of my roses come from High Country and I often plant them directly in the garden - they catch up fast! So glad you are partnering with them.
I have 2 amazing South African roses from them. I popped in them in the ground and they just took off the first year I grew them. The plants arrived nice and healthy.
I have ordered a handful of roses from them over the years. Winchester Cathedral, New Dawn, some minis like Texas and Sorcery. Have always arrived promptly disease and pest free, bustling with new growth, ready for uppotting upon receival. two thumbs up!!!
I love High Country Roses! They have a great selection of old roses, many of which I have purchased and am growing in the garden. Highly recommend them!
This is awesome. Thank you! You've taught me how to propagate roses and currently have 6 Old Garden roses and wanting to build a big collection of them. Will definitely check them out.
Roses Unlimited is astounding. I ordered from Matt, but Roses Unlimited has larger roses that are supposedly one gallons but they are closer to two gallons for about what Matt charges for quarts. I received 2 Sidonie (try to find it) and Climbing Gruss an Aachen. They are often in bloom in the pot. She's amazing!
Thanks Donna. I'm glad hear about other great options in the US. I obviously can't vouch for them all myself, as many won't ship to Canada - but thanks for sharing your recommendations.
Jason! You’re up to your normal brilliance with this one. I’ve bought over 30 roses from HC since 2022. Love them…But! Can you please talk Matt into raising Crackling Fire please!😉As always I appreciate you, Thank you!❤
I'm in US zone 9B, had started growing roses this past year with great success so far and owe it to your channel. Thank you for your wonderful videos! I highly recommend High Country Roses. The roses I bought from them had all arrived very vigorous and healthy and are growing well, doing fine. Their selection is amazing, website is very easy to navigate and their prices make it easy to become a collector.
My garden has benefited from the amazing and interesting perennial selection you offer, Jason. Chocolate Cosmos are the new plant I got last season that folks comment on most. It's a real standout in the garden, and it's a wonderful filler in cut flower bouquets.
Great choice! I tried purchasing from Grace rose farm and after waiting over a year to receive the roses after almost a year of delay, when they finally sent the roses they were dead and it took other 6 months to get my refound.
Thanks for sharing your experience - and that's sort of the issue I worry about with "custom propagation" of "selling next year's production". I don't imagine its intentional, but it turns customers into creditors - not a great feel for the relationship.
What a wonderful collaboration! A tour and propagation tutorial would be fantastic! Having a tour with interaction, comments, and questions is a great way to showcase their establishment from someone else's point of view, which can highlight things that many times get overlooked when making your own videos. Like when we post comments about your walk-throughs along with questions and suggestions. Of course, the perspective will be much different because of the size of their operation. I think it will be an amazing experience! By the way, Happy New Year! The first week is already gone.😂 I would love to buy some of your roses, but I understand the challenges quite well. Looks like I will have to take a look, make a call and learn some things.😉 Congratulations on this new venture, Jason!🤙
I recommend you look into the roses from Bermuda, there are many mystery roses there and the story behind them is fascinating. I was able to purchase several from Antique rose Emporium years ago and they are great in my Oregon garden,
Thanks - happy to! And of course, these are just my opinions, so weight them against your local knowledge and other supplier recommendations. Me feeling is that a little extra time developing the root system into a 1 gallon (6" across) or 2 gallon (8" across) pot is well rewarded with extra resilience in the garden - so if you enter a period of moisture stress it has the root system to deal with it. I note that it's a pretty common rule of thumb for shrubs (like roses) in your local garden center to sell in 1 gallon (up to 2 or 3 gallon) size for the same reason. While timed irrigation, good site selection and mulch application after planting can reduce the risks, I still recommend the up-potting stem to my customers (coming from the all 4" pot, rather than the wider 5").
The roses are very small own root roses in a 4” pot. I normally grow them in a pot for a year or two to let them get to a substantial size before I plant in the ground. I have planted some directly and I place a wire cage around them for protection from rabbits and also because they are small plants the cage offers some protection from me 😂 stepping on it. I personally think growing in a large pot first is better. I highly recommend High Country roses ❤
High Country has excellent roses and you can usually find a 20% off code. Rogue Valley has a huge selection, but it seems they rarely have some of the hard to find roses in stock.
I have ordered from High Country Roses several times. I highly recommend this business!
Thanks so much! Love to hear it!

Matt at HCR is GREAT and easy to work with, Great seller and very nice guy will answer questions for new growers. Great customer service!
All my climbing roses are from High Country. Excellent company and Matt is very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
Thanks so much!
High country roses is the best place in the world. Such great cultivars!!!
What a nice "old garden" pitch. I didn't mind it at all, because, well you were being sincere and honest in your recommendation. Cheers!

I once lived in Colorado. I had 35 rose bushes in my small yard all from High Country Roses. I highly recommend this company.
I've purchased my Darlow's Enigma from them a few years ago after getting pointed that way from you after one of your videos. Great plant.
One of my favorites! Blooms all season. Thanks

I just placed my first order with High Country Roses, very excited to start a rose garden. Thank you for the discount code.

Thanks - great folks to deal with! And you have some new releases, don't you?
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Yes: excited for those two to go on sale tomorrow. Several more next season.
saved to watch later, see what's what with Matt. I really do like Rose plants, and I really don't know exactly why... Thank you for helping Americans.
I have had excellent luck ordering from them, completely satisfied with roses and their service,

Thank you so much. Just used the code and ordered 2 roses. Can't wait!❤
Beautiful roses! Thanks

I just googled them and Google said they're permanently closed?
after reading the title and hearing the first sentence I thought you are gonna talk about joining USA as the 51st state.
Lol.

Thanks. I'll see if I can bend his ear on that variety (if available in the US)
Your recommendation means a lot! 20% off is excellent!
Thank you! I look forward to their inventory update, and hope they ship to California. Beautiful roses shown on the website!
Thanks so much. I'm quite sure they do!
Oh gosh! 15 miles from me! Thanks Jason.
I have ordered from High Country Roses several times. love them
Thanks for sharing you experience!
Thanks for this. I like the own root roses best too.

Sure is! It's one of the very few tender perennials (usually grown as an annual) that I'll be shipping this year.
@FraserValleyRoseFarm I will make sure to give them a little extra mulch!

Thanks so much. I've already floated the idea of getting down to Denver with Lisa - so we just have to arrange some travel!

I think it will a great experience for both of you!
Lots to absorb and tons of inspiration for sure.🤙
Thank you, I look forward to trying this option. I've never grown from a small start, it will be fun! 🌹

Very nice
Speaking of wins. Congrats on a new PM 🎉🎉🎉 😂
Look forward to seeing g what Springtime brings.
That wld make a great video if u went!
That's my thought: a video to show a full own-root operation at scale! And Matt has been super open about sharing his knowledge.
Yay!
Thank You!😊
My pleasure!
That's great news, checking them out now
Thanks!
Are u shipping 2 the Maritimers this Spring?
Yes. We'll be putting the first inventory online in February, and adding throughout the season.
Can you explain the reason for the potting up step vs putting a small plant straight into the garden?

Rose Ghislaine de Feligonde how is it
repeating?
I am a customer of theirs and I also recommend them. One question, when does the coupon expire?
Thanks. It's ongoing at the discretion of High Country - we haven't talked about a term, but I'd update in the comments if there are any changes.
Where are you located , please?
Could you please post a link to High Country Roses website here ?
Sure. It's highcountryroses.com
Can I buy some roses any kind as long the have an extra frigrant please
