Neither Ibrahim nor Hurrem wanted to come second. Ultimately, 1. Hurrem understood Suleiman better and flew under his radar, and Ibrahim's testosterone and ambitions took him down. 2. Hurrem never thought about her son's rule or being Valide, so long as one was her sons ruled. She never wanted to live a moment after Suleiman. Ibrahim had already shown clear preference for Mustafa, so much so that Suleiman knew Ibrahim was aiming to rule through Mustafa.

Suleiman never allow anyone question his decision not even valide sultan. But when it comes to Hurrem he's too loose on her. It shows the weakness in the writing. Personally I feel if they have kept to historical facts, the series will have been better. All the fictional parts have very weak endings. Leo, Gunehal, Sadaka, Isabella, Firuze, Mahidevran, all Suleiman's sisters and half sisters parts are all rubbish because they never happened. They have to keep on repeating the same mistakes because they can't change the way Hurrem died historically. Can you think of the situation where a person's face was burnt with three sources of hear and they still remain alive? When they kept to historical facts it was nice. But it's still a very watchable series enjoy

It shows the weakness in the writing. Personally I feel if they have kept to historical facts, the series will have been better. All the fictional parts have very weak endings. Leo, Gunehal, Sadaka, Isabella, Firuze, Mahidevran, all Suleiman's sisters and half sisters parts are all rubbish because they never happened. They have to keep on repeating the same mistakes because they can't change the way Hurrem died historically. Can you think of the situation where a person's face was burnt with three sources of hear and they still remain alive? When they kept to historical facts it was nice. But it's still a very watchable series enjoy
