Just a heads up, Christo’s custom parts actually aren’t injection moulds at all, he uses resin casting and airbrushes the pieces with pad ink to give them that glossy plastic look!

@@imperial_brickz No paint used, just the same pad ink that the torsos are printed with is sprayed onto the parts with an airbrush to give them a nicer exterior finish, you can see the difference between the underside vs outside of Kit Fisto’s headpiece. He also airbrushes the legs on most figures with colour matched ink to give them a glossy look, you’ll notice a slight difference if you were to compare Kit Fisto’s legs against a standard pair of LEGO reddish brown legs
@@imperial_brickz& Yes resin casting is definitely much better than 3D/resin prints for sure Main downside compared to moulded is the parts can shrink if they’re exposed to too much heat, will sometimes see older parts of his that have had this happen, seen someone selling his endor helmets on eBay that had shrunk and no longer fit onto figure heads properly, likely left in the sun etc
Especially considering none of these designs are even his, and they probably cost barely anything to make. I’d argue that the custom molds aren’t even justified in price considering brands like GCC make actual injection molded replica parts and sell them for like 2 bucks.
Extremely expensive machines making extremely niche parts. If you had to spend 20,000 to buy a machine to make parts maybe 200 people would buy it's gonna be pricey
Love these figures but hate how there's never any eye printing like on the boss nass or general grevious. Maybe one day the display figures will have accurate eyes!

Christo7108 it's just overrated, there are amazing creators out there with better quality, accessible prices, custom molded, etc

As cool as these are, I can't imagine it's less expensive than just getting the same parts custom-printed by a pad printing service of some sorts.
