    This was fantastic. Im gonna save this vid for future use. The sear/FCU whatever you call it, looks more fidgety that complicated really. Thanks for this. I love these pistols and its nice to see the full inner workings and how to manipulate them.
    And the A1 and A2 are much improved in the grip texture and trigger dept.

    Thank you. Best video ever for Steyr enthusiasts. I own a similar M9 with European safety and just love it.

      I realize it is quite off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch new tv shows online?

    This was very helpful for me, great video. I got one of these 1st gen ones some old guy was selling it used and I wanted to take it all the way apart to make sure it was in the best shape I could manage. I'm glad I did cause I found surface rust forming in all kinds of places plus it was just filthy besides. Now I have a nice spotless like new pistol I can take to the range and put my own fresh gunk into. Well, spotless aside from how I used rust dissolver on the mag release/catch piece and it ate off the finish down to bare steel so now it's gray instead of black... Whatever, adds character lol

    Thank you very much! I bought a m40 ( used ) two years ago and haven't been able to do a deep cleaning on it, again thanks a lot. Other then the camera ( focus ) it was very well done and easy to understand. Again thanks a lot.

    I've had my m9a1 since 2013 and have only ever done a field strip and clean. I've recently started shooting a LOT more and should probably strip it down like this and do a detailed clean. I can only imagine what its gonna look like! 🤦‍♂️ great detailed video. I actually feel like doing it now but I'm heading to the range again tomorrow so I'll do it tomorrow. It's my edc so I'm sure the love is wayyy overdue! Thanks for sharing!!! Very helpful. I've never broken down a firearm to this extent so this should be fun 🤣

      be careful putting back the 2 springs. If done improperly the firearm will not work.

    This extractor disassembly (EDIT - minute 3:43) is exactly like the old Makarov design. Interesting.

    Hey man, so I cant get my trigger safety to work properly, is the spring supposed to sit and stick out over the mechanism or somewhere on the inside? like does it have a very specific spot?
    great video btw!

      The long end of the spring falls down into the little groove. When you put the pin back in to hold the safety in its spot you should of had to lift the spring slightly and slid the pin under it. The spring helps keep the pin in

      Are you talking about the drop down safety or the trigger safety? In the video he explains that you should see the spring in the back of the trigger and this is the correct way to set it actually that's not the correct way. You should not be able to see it. It should be inside the groove. If you look at his trigger when he has completed assembly, his trigger safety is recessed. Mine was like this when I followed the video. I took it back out and did the opposite of what he explained and now my trigger safety sticks out the way it should and resets the way it should

    Is the slide cover plate plastic or metal?

    please show how triggers sear and disconnector of the gun work i want to know that and show how drop safe of the sear work

    • @Akira-nw4jl
      @Akira-nw4jl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      note that it only works if you apply pressure down and forward to the sear itself so that when you press the trigger you can see how it drops.
