It's the smallest province in the Philippines, with only 18,000 people! Some call it the New Zealand of the Philippines; we think it's like Hawaii, and we even see some resemblance to the Amalfi Coast! Tickets can get quite pricey depending on the season because only one airline, Philippine Airlines, (PAL) flies to Batanes from Manila. There are only about 1-2 flights a day. It's advised to research and plan your trip according to the weather, as storms can get pretty intense here.

33:15, I was there at the end of May (May 29 to 30 to be exact), I arrive at 10 or 11am by train and left at 4, 5 to 7pm also by train to Hatagaya, which is where we stay in a small hotel for 5 nights and it's cheap, awesome ride, but hot and rainy in the afternoon, dinner time and busy.
i watched your europe tour video, which place you guys liked most that you visited in europe ?
We enjoyed all the countries we visted in Europe but if we had to choose, Italy and Greece is high on top 😊

Fantastic video as always Jan & Ann, Batanes is so picturesque, love the scenery. I like how authentic it is, as you said you can only purchase property if you’re from there & there is no establishment world brands there. Hope you’re both having a great time in Tokyo. I’m in the process of finalising my next overseas trip, I’m thinking of including Tokyo, deciding between a few locations, all places you’ve both been too & vlogged. Seoul is a definite. Hopefully I run into you in one of the other locations like many subscribers ran into you in Korea. You two are great people & not a surprise you’re both so popular. I’m a fan as you can tell by all the comments I post on your videos 🙂

The best time to go there is February to April. The airfare might not be that cheap.
Luñis is the type of adobo they have there.
Fundacion Pacita is the hotel from across the cafe you stayed at. The cafe is...kinda mid since there were other more affordable and delicious resto like Octagon or Pension Ivatan.
You may need to have go back there after....5 years to visit the old stone houses in Sabtang and include Itbayat island in your itinerary.
I would recommend going to Calayan Island - which is part of the Babuyan Islands.

The islands of Batanes make you feel as if you are instantly transported into the green lush playground of New Zealand or the northern lands of Scotland; this is by far the sister-like experience of Hawaii! Nice to see Young Filipinos exploring our beautiful country. I used to travel around the Philippines before you guys were even born. It was tough to travel before because the roads were totally different and flying to Batanas in the 80s was so impossible and now it's easy. Travel Safe Guys!

When do you think is the best time to go to Batanes? Love your videos as always!!
If you want a grilled cheese, you should try El Union’s! or Masa Bakehouse’s. Both can be found in San Juan, La Union. But they also have branches in BGC.

Batanes is more like Australian country side with its gentle rolling hills. New Zealand is more of a Scottish Highlands scenery.
It rarely rains in Batanes in May so you did experience an unusual weather in this video. But then again, that's Batanes, Mother Nature's 'playground'. Enjoy!
