    With the speed you need to go to the settings (press 2 buttons) go to P15 and if you have there number 56 or something like that change it to "100" and max speed gonna be 48 km/h

    Oh as a side note, in regards to the speed always check with local laws about the speed of the scooter. If I remember correctly, anything over 20-25 mph you need to have a driver's license, register the scooter and have it insured like you would any car. A lot of people haven't realized that yet. If you ever get asked by a traffic cop or police office how fast your scooter goes, tell them 20 mph just to be on the safe side.

    This scooter is really popular around EU and RU regions, where i live the general asking price for m4 pro 16ah version is around 500 eur, meanwhile 18ah version is closer to 600 eur, from what ive heard in RU region its dirt cheap (around 400-500).
    We have a really large community for M4 owners on facebook groups, and a pretty large catalog of mods that people do for the scooter that range from reinforcing the steering column to anything like suspension upgrades, 3d printed parts and etc. Its a budget device that has its flaws but as long as you are willing to fix/accept them its a pretty decent scooter for the money.
    I personally have installed steering reinforcement, changed the handlebars, installed hydraulic brakes, made a custom footrest and mounted 150mm shocks on the rear end.

    Thanks for your review. The Kugoo Kirin M4 Pro is a budget-friendly(699 after discount) e-scooter that comes with a detachable seat.
    The top speed and range vary from different weight riders and riding conditions, such as terrain, slope, loading weight, etc.
    Also, thanks for pointing out some small problems with the scooter and we will check whether it is an individual quality issue. :D
    We will continue to produce better quality electric scooters for riders.😃

    As an owner of a couple of Xiaomi Scooters (M365 Pro, M1 Swiss edition), I needed something with more torque; given the hilly climbs (>10 degrees) and my stature (185cm, 102kgs). The M4 (12.5aH variant) has plenty of power and speed for my use case (mostly town and country side rides; no serious off-roading). In mode 3 it does register 45kmph on a flat bike path (no wind), though I assume that speed is 10-15% overstated...plenty fast in my experience. I did check the P-settings to verify correct tire size setting, etc.. so the speed may not be as off as the one reported in this video.
    I did do some mods, right away:
    1) SLIME for the non-solid tires (mine have the tubes). A must;
    2) hard rubber washers placed at the top and bottom of each fork spring (to signficantly reduce/remove spring-rattle noise);
    3) silicone sealant for the deck areas (cable entries, etc.);
    4) blue loctite for various nuts and bolts, for safe measure;
    5) rear view mirror on the left handle.
    Bought on AliExpress and at ~US$440 (delivered price from an EU(ES) warehouse) PLUS import duties ($31, Switzerland)...the quality and specs are IMO excellent. The scooter arrived within 10 working days from date of order, double boxed and in new condition (with all accessories, incl. the optional seat). I am very pleased with this purchase.
    Of course, for off-roading/MX-style performance...sure...a dual 72V/1600W hyper scooter would be great. But where I live, no chance for that. Such a lovely machine would not be legal on roads and I would hate to risk/forfeit $3000+ for the brief pleasure. That being said, the thought of an impulse buy had crossed my mind...more than once!

      the problem is once you use this scooter, the top speed is only relevant in the first 10km you do because after that it rapidly declines. i have the M4 pro and after 20 km it only goes 35km/h and the frame is not that strong either, i really doubt that the safe 'weight' on the scooter is 150kg. i think the frame is too weak for driving safely at speeds of 40-50km/h on european roads.

    I was originally gonna go for the M3, but I've heard a lot of people say the speed is incredibly iffy. Like it says it goes 25mph, but only goes 21 when they get the package. Same with this scooter I see, but I might go for something like this instead knowing it only goes around 24-25mph, that's honestly a great mid ground between moderate speeds and fast speeds.

    I recently upgraded the motor on this scooter to an 1000w motor, which can do 25mph on average. I also noticed the electronic braking change when I upgraded the motor. Also it does 25 miles of range now. I did fry the fender light though, which I'm not going to replace since im making my own more visible parts. Overall this is a good scooter until things start breaking.

      The tail light has been a persisting problem on mine. The issue is that it is not water resistant as the bottom of it is open, and the solder points tend to break due to road vibration. The only real fix is to cover from the inside of the fender with electrical tape, and I've had to open this light, and the two before it, to solder it back together.

      The weird thing with that setting is that the speed will be accurate, but the odometer won't be. The distance from my home to my job is 1.4 miles, but the trip odometer will show 1.6 miles. Yes, blew out the controller on my M365 Pro yesterday, going up an incline (~10 degrees)...I weigh 105 Kg, so the scooter was pretty stressed. Looked into a controller upgrade (Ver.3, ordered it for $30) and a speed/range conversion kit with extra 12S3P/42V battery extension...but that costs an additional EURO 370 (e-scooters.embeddenDOTcom)! For only CHF450 delivered, I simply went with this M4...500W should be enough for a person my size. As well, laws where we live restrict top speed so I am not looking for a monster speed demon.

    Which one would you recomment to buy for daily 20km usage (10k to work, and 10k to back)? This one or the NIU KQi3 Pro? There is a seat on this one and is faster but not sure if its that reliable than the NIU. Seat though would make it easier to ride 10-10km, no? But this one just looks not solid. Not sure wich one should I buy under 700 euro.

    • @stupid47
      @stupid47 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've had mine for about a little more than a year and a half. It's needed work, but so far, it's been a reliable machine. At least for me, I like that I can do my own repairs and parts are easy to order and install. But you do need to learn how to do things such as brake adjustments, and on occasion, a little bit of soldering, as some solder points in certain places tend to break due to road vibration and occasional bumps and hits. So you need to have some proficiency with hand tools and a soldering iron. Also, the tail light is not waterproof at all. You need to cover the bottom of it with electrical tape to keep water out of it.
      The only real advantage it has over NIU scooters, and others like it, is that it requires no apps, no accounts, no mandatory tutorials, and no proving to the manufacturer that you can ride it before it grants you the privilege of unlocking all the other features and modes. This scooter has the only two modes you need: on and off. Just charge it up, stick the key in, turn it on, and off you go.
      For what you pay, it's a decent machine, and the manufacturer lets you make your own decisions.

      The range is unchanged. Depending on air temperature and wind, I get about 20-23 miles on a non-stop trip. It performs better in hot weather. But, like a gas car, shorter trips or stop-and-go driving can cause shorter range. This is with a 210 lbs. rider.

    i always thought 28mph was too good to be true at the price given but it makes sense now that it doesn't really reach that

    “… riding it like a normal person…” For most countries speed limit for scooters is 25 kph, so that you both don’t harm yourself and others. It feels slow and boring, but better safe than sorry.

    Hello my friend, how are you? I have a Kukirin M4 pro scooter and I changed the parts in an accident. I would like to sell the new parts by putting labels on them. I will share the pictures of the labels and can you take a legible picture of them and send it to me, thank you.

    I don't recommend this scooter, I've had it, and it gave me a lot of problems, the handlebar is very unstable, the scooter shakes everywhere, the brakes are horrible

    the inability to see outside of his own usecase aswell as his poor operation, lack of common sense and mechanical understanding ruin the review. he also nitpicks on small things i wouldn't even think about.... content from middle class people is often like this 'i didn't like this small issue so i fixed it with money, this doesn't perform as well as my scooter that costs as much as a 2013 audi a3'

      part 2, i actually just got upset and cussed out my screen 'the decks to small waghhhh' meanwhile the designers tryna keep costs and weight down intending you sit down onit that also gave u a rear footrest that u refuse to use are spiraling into deep depression because they wasted their time making a efficient vehicle when Americans think ' i cant cook a 3 course meal in my vehicle? what is this a clown car?'
