My honest take on this 4.6KG payload gimbal. Does it live up to the hype?
Video examples are from Norway. Cameras used are the Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-T30. Lenses used are Fujinon 56mm f1.2, Fujinon 16mm f1,4 and the SLR Magic microprime cine 25mm T1.5

you can consider for a next video: Backup systems for video & Photo editing. Each time we need more and more space so, maybe you can explain waht do you use for backup workflow (hard drive , SSD ? NAS? cloud? etc)

Brilliant review. Really appreciate all the effort you put into this. I also watched the more recent review you did of the AK2000S model which you did in January 2020 which had support for Fujifilm cameras. I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere but do you know if there is anyway to control a Fujifilm camera’s settings or start/stop video recording using this gimbal? Looking on their website it seems to show that there have been no further firmware updates since the one in August 2019, just after the version you had in this video, but it seems strange that they have stopped developing this if the AK2000S can work with Fujifilm and seems to have a lot more firmware updates.
The reason I ask is that I was considering this for my X-H1 with the vertical battery grip and XF16-55 f/2.8, which is quite heavy, or perhaps also my GFX100S (when it arrives) with GF lenses which are much heavier (but perhaps still just under the 2.2kg total limit). Can you please tell me if you found a good work around to co trolling the Fujifilm camera settings and start/stop recording, or did you just use the touch screen LCD? I’m an experienced photographer but video is a new and scary challenge for me and it makes me feel like a beginner all over again! Appreciate any advice you may have 👍

What a great review. Probably the best in-depth reviews I saw for this gimbal. Got a question, In other reviews I saw, smoothness of this gimbal is not the best, did they improve it in new firmware update 1.0005?
And how it would preform if you zoom in the lens without rebalancing, could it handle it for shorter period of time?
Thanks Branimir🙏🏻 I havent noticed any problems, than the ones mentioned in the review. Did the other reviewers use the lens suport and have a strong connection from the camera to the gimbal? That way you can turn up the motorforce, and take away the unsteady problem you could have if the motor force is set to weak. My review was based on formware 1.004. Havent done any stress test with unbalanced gimbal unfortunately. Cheers!

This is the nicest review I have seen on a Gimbal, and there are many good ones, but as reviews go this one really a showcase of both the product in the comparison to its main competitors in a very efficient manner, and your ability to extract a lot from it as examples of what it can do in the right hands. what were the typical frame rates and image sizes you used in your reveal scenes?

Haven’t tested the RSC2, so hard to say. Waiting for the RS2 for test at the moment 😎

Hello again. One of the great features about this gimbal is the wifi connectivity. I notice you use this feature. After I connect my a7III to this gimbal will the connection be automatically made the next time I use it? Or do I have to go into the app each time after I turn the camera off. In a days shooting I might turn the camera on and off 20 or 30 times. Do I need to go through all the connection steps every time? Thanks very much for your time and consideration.

Great review! How is it after long term use? I have the Ronin S with the dirft issue, even using the joint angle fix does not solve it. This looks a much better design but I'd like to hear what its like after a long time.
Excellent review... I just have a question re X-T3, are you able to use timelapse function with multiple way points, and is there a cable for that?
Certainly thinking upgrading from my AK4000, at least follow focus (AFK 2) will work with it.. Cheers, I've subbed.
Thanks. Don’t think there is a compatible cable for AK4500. Maybe in the future? Check with Feiyutech support. I’m working on the AK2000S review now, and waiting on the correct compatible connector for that.. maybe it works with AK4500. Will check when I receive it 👍🏻
@@Kjetilkm cheers, look forward to it, common sense should prevail an be backward compatible for AK's 2, 4 and 4.5, but we know that does not apply for them making money
Hi Kjetil, Great review. Q; I don't have a DSLR or focus ring, I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ330, bridge camera - auto focus. Can I use that with this gimbal?
Love your work, my only critique is the unlevel horizon's like the shot leaving the church which i found a bit distracting, but then again I'm a bit OCD, most people likely wouldn't notice. Anyways, I always love it when my work is critiqued and point out things i miss or could have done better. Nice video either way:)

This gimble isn't listed as compatible with the X-T3. Is it fully functional anyway?
Only start/stop recording👈🏻 (dont know anny gimbals that are fully compatible with Fujifilm)
Does the FeiyuTech AK4500 remote have the functionality of having the gimbal be used like an auto tracking gimbal? Or even better is there a small sending unit that fits in a shirt pocket, similar to the Pixio system (except with an additional tilt function, not just pan) shown in the video below?

How do you control photos and videos through buttons on the gimbal? This gimbal doesn't suppport Fuji XT3. Buttons for photo and video don't work when connecting via USB
Only directly on the camera on this gimbal!

Yes, best review online ! Great work. You explain a lot more in the menu than anyone else. Just getting mine set up but having a few issues. Using Fuji XT3 with follow focus motor with Grip been a problem. Had to create a modified set up. Cant understand motor setting :(
Wish it would support Fuji because I am loosing lots of features. Cant start video or photo. Notice cant use phone app and Hyperlink together. Think I can only set uo phone to view camera via wifi ? Get these sorted and it work be unbelievable gimbal for Fuji and grip.
Any ideas on hard-shelled cases for travel. Feiyutech seems to not provide an accessory case like the Ronin. I have the dual handgrip, gimbal essential kit that I would all like placed within the same case instead of having them separate.

Can you use both wheel controls at the same time doing two different things? For example, one for focus pulling and one for pan control...

Yes, on top of the rear handle. If you do not connect the rear handle, you can use the left or right rear handle mounting holes for accessories. Cheers!
How is the remote powered? 18650 removable battery or a non-removable built in battery?

How is the app? I would like to use it for motion control like repeatable product shots. Same with follow focus can you use it for long repeatable focus pulls?
The app works great on the motion controll, but the focus controll is only manuall according to my knowledge

Havent tested the weebill S, only weebill. But this is a bigger gimbal. My favorite at the moment is the DJI RS2👍🏻

Have you had any joy using the camera controls on the gimbal using the USB cables? Really struggling to get this to talk to my GH5....
Hi Will, my Fujifilm camera is not compatible, so I haven't had any experience connecting it unfortunately. Contact Feiyutech support or ask in the facebook group. I'm sure you will get som help with you connection trouble ;)

I think the AK2000S is the only with start/stop video control on fuji cameras. Check my AK2000S review.
I have the XT2... did you prefer the 4500 over the crane 3?
Eric Thomas havent tested the Crane 3 yet, so cant say.

Laurence Grant in Lock mode? Have you tried calibrating? Have you tightened the camera to the plate, and use the lens suport and also maybe the top suport on the camera? I’ve had no problems...
Thanks. Yes did the calibrating bit. No lens support but only using 18-55. (not tried with 16-55 but have used 10-24mm and same issue) I am using a battery grip but gimbal is nicely balanced. I could try lens support but wouldn't expect to need it. On switch on to use say in LK, camera 'wonders' off on it own :(
Laurence Grant been like this since new? I would contact Feiyutech support, or ask in Feiyutech facebook group. Maybe someone have experienced this. Calibration should fix problems when it wanders of.....
Why the price difference between official site and amazon,, about $200 🧏♂️
Shame that it doesn't have a proper joystick. It means no smooth tilting which drastically limits all the possible camera movements.
Oh and yes sensitivity is still too high even on lowest setting.
