You can preserve the worms with methylated spirit, dip for 20secs then place on newspaper to dry out excess metho and stash in a plastic container then freeze. It also applies with yabbies and other fresh soft baits.
Hi, metho works very well (10 minutes max) and afterwards bag them ( max of three/bag). They will freeze fine. I just used some that were one year in the freezer. About 30% of the worm is black at the tail butt the rest is fine. Caught one 38cm flathead and a 2 /12 kg salmon. Oh yeah a few drops of aniseed liquid is nice touch.
@@paltalkawy that means you need to change location. One tip i can give you is try again on dead low tide try to focus more away from the shore line. Usually worms are a bit further.

Well done mate and I thank you for sharing your experience with beach worms! The aniseed is worth trying!
Hi mate, is this beach in Victoria? What beach please?
Hi mate, not in Victoria. Basically, you can catch these beach worms on low tide and use fish baits to attract the worms.
@Catch_and_cook1983 thanks for the reply, I tried to wave a pilchard bait on the sand during the water wash out but still nothing pops up on v shape
