Ok, let's talk pricing... This is no way shape or form, the right way to do it or am I saying it is: it's just how I learned along the way and how I do it for my small business! I wanted to share how I calculate the pricing of the products I sell on my stationery and sticker shop, in a way that I can keep doing my business and a profit!
I'm still learning so I would love to hear your experiences in the comments!

I’m feeling a lot of imposter syndrome posting this video BUT I hope you take something out of it ✨ thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for bringing this topic on the table, so many people don’t know how it works! I made a lot of mistakes too regarding pricing, and when you have to count the real costs, the VAT, the fees all around (commission of the platform, payment fees, social security, taxes on income, rent, electricity, etc), it takes it to another level.
You explained it very well, and can’t wait to see your December videos!!! 💖
Your video was extremely helpful! When pricing, I keep forgetting about all the electricity I use when sewing. An industrial machine uses more power than a regular. Maintenance is more expensive because you have to have someone come to you and fix it. Lots to consider. I look forward to your future videos and wish you a wonderful Holiday season. 💜💜💜
Aww thank you so much for watching and for the lovely feedback, I really appreciate it! I used to forget all the small little bits and without even noticing we get to the end of the month and can’t pay the bills because those add up so much!! Thank you for sharing 💛
So so happy to see this on my feed as I was looking for a comfort thing to watch and you are my favourite creator!
What a sweet comment, thank you so much!! Enjoy your Sunday ✨🌷
She is my favorite too. ❤

Thank you very much for this video.
I've been struggling for years to calculate my prices.
I've used the spreadsheet provided on Etsy, added up all my costs, made multiple calculations... and as a result, my products cost way too much, I'm not competitive at all.
Yet I limit myself to the essentials: raw materials or printing costs (including postage if I've ordered), shipping costs (including cardboard envelope), Etsy platform fees, social charges.
With these elements alone, it's impossible for me to really cover my costs by selling at affordable rates.
Now that I've got the Canon Pixma 6850, I'm hoping to reduce printing costs, but first I need to do some conclusive tests ( not a sure thing).
With the growing number of sellers who outsource production to China on Etsy, it's getting more and more complicated to compete.
A real headache! 😓
Gosh, I tend to forget to add in the small, but so important costs into pricing! Thanks for the information! 😊 Imposter syndrome happens, but don’t worry, I find your information valuable! I take notes when I watch your videos. 😊😊😊😊😊
Right? They definitely add up and we don’t even notice it! Thank you so much Christine 🥰✨
That was very interesting! There are a lot of values in this video. And daily videos ???!! 😮 I'm getting so excited ! Thank you ❤
Really happy you liked it! I hope I can make it the whole month 😂let’s see how it goes ahah
I really liked this video and your tips for pricing! And the Etsy calculator is a very useful tool, I also lost money on some of my sales in the begining because of the Offsite Ads that have an extra 15% commission that I didn’t even know about 😒 On smaller items those fees really add up. Yay for the daily videos 😍
Thank you so much Sara!! Omg for sure.. I started to notice when the money I was spending on materials and shipping and the money I was getting at my bank account didn’t made any sense.. I knew something was up 😂 so sad we all go through that 🙃
Thank you so much for this video. 😇🥰🤩 I suggested this on your community post few weeksalso a few months ago. I was wating for this video. thank you so much for your amzaing insight!
Thank you for the video. Determining pricing can be such a tricky thing based upon the type of products you make, where you live, and where you ship.
You did a great job in breaking it down for your business. I thought I'd share my pricing model to get your opinion. Is my thinking correct?
I hope to one day soon begin my small hair- and skincare business in the US, so my pricing structure may be different.
Costs of goods. This is the cost of the raw materials needed to make my products, including the taxes and shipping costs I incurred. I, like you, break this cost down to a per unit cost to determine the cost to make a batch of my product.
Production Costs. Cost associated with making the product, including packaging (bottles, labels, lids, etc.), equipment and their associated costs. This cost, along with any associated taxes or shipping cost, is also divided into a per unit cost and then the costs associated with making a batch of my product.
Administrative/Overhead: Lease/rent, subscription/fees, electric, water, etc., which are divided into a daily cost to which I add my daily wages based upon an hourly salary.
Once I determine these costs (cost of goods batched + production cost batched + daily Administrative/Overhead expenses), I then add my profit margin.
For me, I dream of one day having three different pricing structures (retail, private label, and wholesale), so I have three different profit margin ranges. It's easier for me if I determine the retail margin (because it'll be my highest price) and the minimum wholesale margjn (because it will be my lowest cost).
Example: Retail would be at 100% (and that's low);
Private Label would have a margin between 60-70%; and
Wholesale would have a margin ranging from 40-50%
Lindas as armações dos óculos 😍
Obrigada!! Está um código de desconto na descrição btw 👀
You should consider the experience you have. You may take less time to make a product because you have more experience. So, don't sell yourself short.
Exactly my thoughts! 🥰
I also struggle with pricing specially because do mostly handmade charms 🥲But I'm also still learning!
Also you cardigan aaah😍
