I found myself wondering about what prompted the composition and how come it is so apparently carefree. Poland in 1937 was not free from Nazi propaganda after all. Was the composer living in Poland at the time or had she moved to somewhere like Paris? At any rate it is a really nice addition to the repertoire and a good companion piece to the Hindemith.

It's a Gebrüder Mönnig "Del Sol" model made of maple - I love it!
