If you saw a recent video of Jesus you'd barely recognise him - dude lost so much weight. Either way, completely ridiculously amazing pianist. His videos for Spectrasonics/Omnisphere were my introduction to him, blew my mind. Kind of a rhythmically challenging transcription, I'll bet!
Honestly though, I don't even know where to start but I feel like the Nord was built for his playing. Like his iconic playing style fused with the iconic Nord sound just works so well. You can instantly tell it's Jesus Molina playing blindfolded, and I think that is amazing - something a lot of jazz musicians strive for - a recognisable and unique style. Good choice from Nord to have him advertise their products.
I've often struggled to find words for a feeling that certain music such as this music gives me. You have captured it in this one statement. I thank you. Thumbs up

It is always so inspiring to me to see what We as Humans can do With Dedication Discipline And Practice. So beautiful to Hear and see this Performance.
To what extent do you have to master the piano to be able to improvise like that? Like, when an idea appears in your mind you can instantly play it, that’s my dream
I recommend to learn to play chords a lot and scales, forget for a moment to read music sheet. I know people that started piano reading music sheet and they can play pretty well and hard classical pieces buy they can't improvise even in a C major scale. Start to feel the music, play something easy like C - Dm - F - C, and try to improvise using the C major scale and then start to use some black notes just in the tempo that you feel it. I don't know exactly how to explain it to be honest, just feel the music :)
Me thinks, boatloads - Because it also depends on mastery of musical language and your physical dexterity to apply that language at the pace of your mind’s creative abilities. So it’s like: Hear something in head ->> automagically translate it into your personal musical language (which comes from years of internalizing and listening to music or magic or whatever power source ya got) ->> get it out on the instrument (ditto… years of technical practice applying your language) I think the mind will always lead the body - “In the province of the mind there are no limits…” That’s why I think a lot of the jazzers Panonicas book "Three Wishes" would still use one of their wishes on “to play what I hear in my head”. It's a never-ending pursuit of artistic expression! Fun and shareable at any level!
This is 100% not improv. It's a beautifully written piece that displays a lot of different motifs, takes time to write almost 3 minutes of great music like that.
You need chord knowledge rather than piano playing skills. Learn a simple chord progression and try improvising a melody to it. Once you've done that, try using tension chords or modulating. This is the basic way of learning.
