i never thought climbing into a virtual japanese rabbit hole would lead me to 90's indonesian hip hop, but here we are. this slaps!
For non Indonesian that didn't know. this song is called Bebas which mean Free, originally by Indonesian rapper Iwa Kusuma (Iwa K). released in 1994 (man i am old). Iwa K and this song can be said as a pioneer of Indonesian Rap. You may said that there are no Indonesia rap before Iwa K. The popularity of this song start the rap boom in Indonesia at that time.
What is this song about, well it about how to live your life happily no matter how hard it is. you just need to free your mind (bebas dan lepas) and having fun with your friends even tough you have many problem in life.
Well said m8, altho this song 28 years old already, the lyrics are still relatable till this day.

unlike general rap song that mostly upbeat with tension this one sounds more relaxed.

Everyone was really wonderful for sure. Kaela's singing wasn't a surprise to me, though; when she puts her mind to something, she never stops. I imagine her singing practice is just as relentless as her gathering streams are (though probably more carefully regimented, to avoid damage to her throat).

Happy Indonesian Independence Day, HoloID! Selamat Hari Kemerdekan! It was an absolute joy to watch this wonderful cover of Bebas! Listening to everyone sing together felt nothing short of divine as their voices blessed our ears in heavenly harmony! Like a choir of angels! On top of the song, we were left in awe by the gorgeous visuals and the artwork really captured the team spirit of HoloID through the beautiful school aesthetic! Looking at the pictures of the girls treasuring those blissful moments warmed our hearts!
Today’s premiere blew us away with a spectacular show! Big thanks to all of the talented people who worked on the project! Saya selalu balik ke "Bebas" karena ya memang lagunya yg lumayan kalem dan berhasil nge-highlight suara para talent-nya dan sebagai pengenal ke awam siapa para talent HoloID. serta memiliki tempo yg lumayan lebih lambat daripada terhebat. Cocok didengarkan saat bersantai.
Sedangkan "Terhebat", benar-benar sesuai namanya, sebuah lagu yg memiliki aura positif untuk nge-boost 'mental'. Sangat cocok untuk seseorang yg lagi butuh penyemangat ditengah sesuatu yg mereka kerjakan.
