I have one question this might a little novice. Why do we need use animations from libraries like GSAP rather pre built animations in webflow, wordpress and other CMS.
It's fine if you can accomplish what you want in those other tools, but GSAP delivers far more flexibility and power than most other options. You can literally animate anything. Even in those other tools like Webflow and WordPress, they often use JavaScript for animations anyway. GSAP is just a highly optimized, robust version of what they're probably doing under the hood. And GSAP can be used anywhere, so if you learn it in one context, you'll still be able to use that skillset when you switch to something else. If you learn how to animate something in WordPress, for example, what are you gonna do if you switch to Webflow? Start over. Your GSAP skillset can follow you almost anywhere.
hello, i just wanted to say if you install the video with NPM then the src folder is NOT PRESENT, you have to make it yourself. sadly the video doesnt match the reality :(
I know this video is from a few months ago but if anyone sees this, have you ever setup GSAP with an Astro.js project? Is it just as simple as installing the package itself and then going from there or are there additional steps? I've never used GSAP and would like to try it with Astro as an alternative to using an island and using React/Framer Motion.

Does the client side scripts section on astro's site help you at all? docs.astro.build/en/guides/client-side-scripts/ At the end of the day GSAP is just JS - so you can use minified JS files or the npm package - it just depends on how astro works really. We'd be happy to take a look at your setup in the GSAP forums if you run into any issues.

Absolutely! GSAP works pretty much anywhere JavaScript can run. Plenty of people use Bootstrap with GSAP.
