So the shop owner is basically The Brave Little Toaster’s version of Sid since like how Sid didn’t initially realize the toys were alive; the shop owner didn’t know the appliances were alive. Interesting. I always did think Toy Story borrowed from this movie. This was one of my favorite movies growing up. But that clown man. That terrifying clown from Toaster’s nightmare scared me.
While Sid didn’t know that the toys were actually alive, he pretended that they were while playing roughly with them. Example: demanding that Woody talks while burning a hole in his forehead. He enjoyed the IDEA of hurting them.
Having not seen this movie in over 20 years, it was cool to see a lot of clips from it again for nostalgia sake, but DAMN is it way darker than I remember or would've ever noticed as a kid.
The concept of this movie was completely ridiculous, but it somehow managed to be pretty great even though it’s hard to imagine a human being having a emotional connection with appliances.
Oh, but it's not so ridiculous when it's toys, huh? Or a candelabra, clock, & tea set parts? XD That is to say, it's not the idea that matters; it's what you do with it. ^_^
Don't forget about the fact that the cars at the dump each had unique symbolism that ties them to a very human way of being "worthless". In order, the cars represented: The overly stressed, the depressed, the drifters, the has-beens, those who are afraid to settle, suffer from PTSD, the hedonists and the elderly. All people who perceive themselves as worthless due to their afflictions, and are very prone to suicide (but only the elderly car actively showcasing his suicide on screen - the rest I feel like were implied, or at least, embrace death with open arms)
I can’t say the shop owner should be evil. He did nothing wrong by real world standards. Being “odd” isn’t a reason to make them evil. The guy was practically Ecstatic at having a costumer.
The worst thing he did (as far as a person would be able to tell, without knowing about the appliances) is _maybe_ he was selling used parts as new, and he also seemed to be stretching definitions when he said "I just got a shipment of them" (radio tubes, or whatever it was) to his customer.
He was technically stealing appliances found in the woods and selling their parts with no idea what their usage was. The book outright calls him a thief- or, more specifically, a pirate.
I think this is accurate. It's funny, really. You would think that the premise of Brave Little Toaster would have worked better with toys, seems like the writers would have landed on using toys instead of appliances even prior to Toy Story.

This movie is a masterpiece, not just for the writing and catchy music, but also from a sociological standpoint, it, in a rather dark manner, really does ask all the right questions about things we as human beings take for granted, and it's not just appliances and toys. It could be the people in our lives. Though I never really picked up on any of those values when I watched the movie as a kid, it really does make watching movie as an adult with more live experience to reflect on, all the more meaningful, by being able to see the feel that deeper story I didn't pick up as a kid. That scene with the toaster and the flower, really is one of the most touching character arcs in cinema imo. Seeing his guilt, lead to self reflection really is a heart warming thing to see. Fun fact, Pixar was birthed out of the Brave Little Toaster. The team that made this movie went over to Pixar and Toy story also came from this film. Even the room "A113" is the masters apartment.
I know the evil clown in the Toasters nightmare was only in a dream, but he should be in the bad to evil area in this list too. He scared me as a kid you know.
The next toy story should be crossover with the brave little toaster, and the toaster should be alive and the lamp and the blanket because the kid just didn’t have any toys growing up so these household appliances were his toys, and it gave them life. or maybe it could be like a spin off movie in the same universe. But that wouldn’t explain why the other objects are alive so never mind lol
One could argue the truck attempted to save the main characters. Even if he could drive, he couldn't get to the elevated belt without the crane. It doesn't make sense that he would kill himself with the characters inside and pull onto the belt in reverse, facing away from the crusher.
I think it's both. Green Truck is done with his life and ready to end it, but during the process of s**cide, he sees the heroes are in his truck bed and makes sure they aren't killed along with him. Based on the height he was at (on the bus), he could drive onto the belt himself.
My sister and I always thought she would be the toaster and I would be the blanket. I hated the scene were the flower is so lonely it tries to hugs it’s own reflection. It is makes me cry.
This dark kids movie has 2 sequels. Brave little toaster to the rescue 1997 and brave little toaster go to mars 1998, both are just as dark as the first film

Makes me wanna do the same, but it is a lot easier said than done unfortunately.
You'd think with a name like "brave little toaster", you'd think it'd be a happy light kids show.
The refrigerator running down the street with all the other appliances from the parts shop was the most shocking and hilarious part of the movie!!
I grew up on this movie and loved it how dare you insult it
Can you please do Total Drama characters good to evil. And I mean all of the characters. From Island, to Ridonculous Race. Not my idea, but I'm a BIG fan of the show.
Yes!
The fact that the toaster nearly died trying to save his friends. He should've gotten the gold medal of good.
I love this movie so much this was the reason why I love retro stuff so much!
I never expected this, but great. The Thundermans Good to Evil.
I was watching the brave little toaster when I was little, I loved it so much and watched it several times and I drew the characters. I just can't believe I was not scared of the things in it back then.
Harry Potter good to evil
Pure: Dobby
Good: Harry Potter
Neutral: Draco
Bad: Wormtail
Evil: Voldemort
Snape I would also place as neutral
You know who else is evil
Professor Umbridge
Damn this was dark, I also went through an existential crisis due my abandonment issues and never knowing who were my parents and only realized I only needed my caregiver the only one who loves me.
These movies emotionally scarred me as a kid and an adult.
This made me sad seeing these cars die when I was little.
I always hated the radio because the first movie in the series I watched had a scene where he takes another appliance's batteries just to stay alive
Can you remember the Radio's lines in said battery stealing scene?! This is shocking and the first I've heard of that!
2:11 still makes me sad.
Lost characters: Good to Evil
Most good: Hurley
Grey area: Sawyer
Most evil: Anthony Cooper
This makes me wanna watch brave little toaster
An even more disturbing thought: What if there was a human controlling the junkyard magnet?
That makes some sense, but at the same time, let's just suppose it's an automatic magnet. I know it was released in 1987, but still.
Then that person would have known that the appliances were alive. He would have seen the items moving around and talking.
@@JohnDoe-gk7ok and even heard them singing
@@Da.Liar-Pig and them screaming in pain
@@bizzaroblake2519 and also saying "worthless"
This is by far my favorite movie. Why didn’t you include Rob’s had and future wife?!
To me I think the junk yard is like a metaphor for a grave yard of the dead, lost souls, broken dreams, and perhaps even the damned and condemned. While the magnet crane is the grim reaper who comes for all regardless of your reason for being there. In other words he isn’t evil, just the reaper or debt collector.
The shop owner is called Elmo St. Peters and is voiced by Joe Ranft, a man of Pixar before he died.
My favorite childhood movie thanks for doing a video on it.
To answer your question, the appliances were able to Survive the waterfall and the river, because none of them were plugged in.
That junkyard magnet was just creepy with the eyes and the angry expression
Yay Kyle's back yay
Yay brave little toaster
Hey Kyle we missed u glad ur back
And anyways is it possible to do a loud house characters good to evil list and total drama characters good to evil too
10:10 Nightmares for days!

Pure - Molly Weaslie

Grey aria: Baby alarm

Oh! And an Egyptian Mythology, Cartoon Series!
About a Kid Mummy, Some Living Human Friend, Some cat as Trio of the Show.
Egyptian Gods, The Museum Thing, and Other Stuffs.
I'm pretty sure the little truck expressed his humility and defiance by doing it himself vs dragged away like trash.

Hey, Kyle & Brad of WickedBinge, I saw that y'all liked my idea for the Sonic shows good to evil, I was just wondering when these next five episodes would be written and completed, not being impatient or rushing y'all or anything, and just as a quick reminder, these are all five Sonic shows.
Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog: Good To Evil
Sonic The Hedgehog (SatAM): Good to Evil
Sonic Underground: Good to Evil
Sonic X: Good to Evil
& Sonic Boom: Good to Evil.
I'm not going to give up, I just want to let you know that I'm not giving up, not trying to spam, just not giving up.
I always had a hate relationship with the magnet for trying to off 5 lovable appliances who didn’t do anything wrong but trying to save their master
Where’s the clown fireman?
I always find Blanky is my favorite character
Fun fact, Pixar was birthed out of the Brave Little Toaster. The team that made this movie went over to Pixar and Toy story also came from this film. Even the room "A113" is the masters apartment.
I wonder why they weren’t in Once Upon a Studio
It’s because this wasn’t made by the studio, they distributed this movie
Ty for bringing this fantastic movie to life again in 2021.
Air conditioner was great the best. Love radio and the lamp😁

@@TheHorselessCantor He is seen driving off the front of the bus though.
Hydro and fluid good to evil

Bad: The fly (Super glue)

Ok
I love how the air conditioner is played by Phil Hartman.
I never seen them. I imagine they are though! 😅
@@WickedBinge i was hope some day you make good to evil vids on them
I loved it as a kid, the only scene that was dark for me is the nightmare with the clown, I always walked out the room when it started, and returned just when it ended.
Please, don't throw away my desires for Barnyard characters: Good to Evil
I'm not surprised that Toy Story took inspiration from this movie!
*LOUD HOUSE▪︎GOOD TO EVIL.*
Yes please I soo want that list
Good: Lincoln
Neutral: Lynn
Bad: Lisa
Evil: Flip
Um how is Lisa bad ? I think Lola and Lynn jr are gray or bad Lisa should be in I think gray
Please do loud house next wickedbinge
@@SCole8860 lola and Lynn are grey. Lisa is bad for a number of reasons. She experiments on her family, has caused many explosions, was mean to Darcy, destroyed $50,000 worth of library books, she's a smart ass, has made many inventions that have ruined either Royal Woods or people's days, ruining people's days in general and took Lincoln' appendix! And more but I can't be bothered to go into more detail
Sometimes I feel that toaster and his friends are the type of characters that could either crossover or exist in a few of the other Disney movies and shows like 101 Dalmatians, chip and dale rescue rangers, Winnie the Pooh, and even lilo and stitch the series
Since the holiday season is right around the corner, Can you do Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Characters: Good To Evil please? 🦌 🎅

Just shapes and Beats characters good to evil
Glitchtale Characters good to evil!
So your not even going to bother to explain why the sequels weren't considered for this list?
Also personally I think The Master and the Radio should be in the good, due to their actions in the 2nd film, (the Master took abandoned, badly injured, and lonely animals in until they were all healed up and got owners, and the Radio literally *KILLED* himself so a giant really smart machine(forgot his name) could function properly again and save the animals)
