    2. Extremely outmatched army (Norwegian army)
    3. The unbelievable Speed which in the invasion was carried out.

    The Galactic Republic would’ve fallen to the Confederacy of Independent Systems if Darth Sidious was pulling the strings of the Clone Wars. The assault on the Core Worlds were a good example of how the Confederate Navy would’ve just swarm the Core Worlds, and there would’ve been nothing the Republic could have done anything about it. The Confederacy had all of the advantages in the Clone Wars by sheer numbers alone, any strategy that the Republic could have thrown at it. Any battle that the Confederacy won would gotten more Republic align worlds to switch sides and for neutral systems to join the Confederacy. Though had the Sith not been pulling the strings of the Clone Wars all factors point to a Confederacy victory.

    • @CedarHunt
      @CedarHunt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Nah, there wouldn't even have been a confederacy without Sidious. The outer rim worlds would have fought amongst themselves and the republic would have dominated

    • @kostyatamburrino1821

      @@CedarHunt Yeah if it wasn't for darth sidious they wouldn't have started a war with the republic. All the different factions in the CIS were around way before sidious but if wasn't for him no war.

    • @CedarHunt
      @CedarHunt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @Taylor N Nah, faced with a war the republic wouldn't have had any issue raising an army, the core worlds are some of the most highly populous and technologically advanced in the galaxy. They're also politically unified which the outer rim planets wouldn't be without Sidious. It wouldn't be a clone army but that hardly matters. The shipbuilding capabilities and manufacturing base would be inside the republic. It would be a massacre.

    • @CedarHunt
      @CedarHunt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@kostyatamburrino1821 I think a war would have happened eventually but the disparities in objectives among the major players like the trade federation and techno union would have made an alliance highly unlikely. The republic would have all of the political and economic ties that bind their worlds together but the outer rim likely would have fractured into dozens or hundreds of competing groups. There wouldn't be a cis simply because the political framework wouldn't have existed without Sidious and Dooku.

Between the clone wars tv show and the movies, it is mostly portrayed that the CIS was just a group of pathetic droids led by incompetent commanders, when in truth the CIS was a true powerhouse that was able to hold its own for 4 years in a galaxy spanning conflict and, in my opinion, if the Sith had not hijacked the Separatist cause, I believe that, with competent commanders, the CIS could have won the war. Not necessary conquering the galaxy, but winning the war for independence and conquering and holding their portions of the galaxy (The other rim, mid rim, some of the colonies area, and the eastern reaches)

    No wonder heads rolled if the Republic left them so vulnerable to getting curbstomped and slaughtered in detail. As clearly there was a failure of intelligence, to spot separatist build up. Failures at strategic and tactical level to put up even a half decent defence with resources available. As those golan ones should have been keep back for defence of the planet, where they could at least inflict decent losses and used in tandem with shield. Check point could have been held by a small picket line with main body and golans held back to defend planet, rather than left open to being pick off in detail. Should really do a video on the entirety of Durge's lance operation and how the republic eventually stop it.

    OK, I know why, the Republic were supposed to be the "righteous" ones in this war that would never stoop to such ploys (so writers of the stories would have us believe) but as I mentioned, they inevitably did far worse damage to a variety of worlds throughout the ongoing conflict.

    They should say there was some consumable component unique to Duro that was vital for venerators. Then the destruction of Duro would explain why Venerators were retired soon after the end of the war.

    If someone would just make a movie just about an all out slugfest between the droid army and clones in a live action cinematic I’d eat that shit up. Ep2 and 3 are good for their fight scenes that include clones but they aren’t in the forefront as much as i would have wanted. Something like this would be amazing

    I miss THIS Grievous. An actual general, a fierce warrior and a well organized (literal) war machine. ...TCWs really ruined him. Turned him into a cowardly loser that loses at least one hand with every "fight" he gets himself suckered into.

      @@thetrippedup9322 A children's show... With melting clones, clones getting eaten, decapitations, slavery, stabbings, etc etc. Most fans of this show more than love to brag about how "mature" it is, and now I'm meant to just ignore the royal suckage of GG and heck nearly the entirety of the CIS because "It is primarily a children's show"? Please. Avatar TLAB was primarily for kids, yet the Fire Nation was considerably more intimidating and written better then the CIS is in this show.
      Legends did it better.

      @@Raving_Rando Great, it was still (originally) intended for children. Sure, General Grievous has been brutally murdered in a back alley by it, but you've just got to accept he's not going to portrayed as he should be, because he must be weak and more easily beatable because it was made for children. Yeah, you've got to ignore how much they suck, when it was first broadcast, they weren't catering it towards avid fans of the expanded universe, but for children and a network intended for children. And yeah, Legends did do it better.

      @@thetrippedup9322 "Great, it was still (originally) intended for children."
      So was Invader Zim, yet it was nearly entirely taken over by young adults and teens, akin to this show.
      "Sure, General Grievous has been brutally murdered in a back alley by it,"
      You forgot raped.
      "but you've just got to accept he's not going to portrayed as he should be,"
      I do not have to. It is up to the writers to win me over, to which they failed. I consider myself a Star Wars fan (despite Disney's actions), that doesn't mean I have to like EVERYTHING blindly that comes under the name of said franchise.
      "because he must be weak and more easily beatable because it was made for children."
      Since when do children's villains have to suck? Fire Lord Ozai and the Shredder (2k3 and 2012) were both strong, nearly unbeatable antagonists.
      "Yeah, you've got to ignore how much they suck,"
      I can't. If your "bad guys" suck it'll give them the underdog treatment and have fans actively cheering whenever they manage to actually win, despite the writers clearly wanting the viewers to side with the Republic.
      "when it was first broadcast, they weren't catering it towards avid fans of the expanded universe,"
      But they were catering to Star Wars fans.
      "but for children and a network intended for children."
      Again. Avatar, which aired on Nick.
      "And yeah, Legends did do it better."
      If you agree, then why are we debating?

      @thetrippedup9322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Raving_Rando Because I don't think you realise that the Clone Wars wanted to appeal and cater to children, not to you or me, and so their villains fall more in line with stupid pushovers more than actual villains, to be laughed, and that we aswell all simply be quiet and stop complaining, because either the whole is about to end and there'll be little point in moaning about it other than saying "They were shit." Or, they'll continue with the Clone Wars in some fashion and hopefully either change him, he did look rather more intimidating in Episode 9, or, and you'll have much more reason to argue this if they do, they won't do anything at all and they'll just keep being stupid. The point is, that the Clone Wars was not meant to draw us in, and as time had gone on and more older fans have been brought in they are beginning to change it, notably with Season 7

    Awesome McCoolname for a brutal military operation, Durge's Lance.
    Heh, this is NOTHING compared to the disastrous battle (or maybe debacle) against the Yuuzhan Vong approximately 46 years later.
    Edit: Mayhaps the Victory is actually a testbed ship, and quite possibly even the first of its kind. Not a successful test, but then again, so were the first test runs of the AT-AT (Forcedamned bloody Jabiim, may that stupid planet rot in Tartarus) and even the TIE Fighter (possibly the Battle of Coruscant).
    9:00: If there's one bad thing about Multiverse Theory, it's the fact that cosmic horrors like *these* can spread around to other universes.

    I would have tried to send the navy into near systems or locations, so the CIs, seeing no resistance at sight, would have advanced, then after intelligence confirms they have moved, deploy from hyperspace all ships from all directions, to generate an ambush.
    Yet, I know the Republic should have previous intel to made this effective. If Duro´s near space area have asteroids, then one could try to replicate Anakin´s tactic of using AT-TEs to attack from lower angles. It proved to be fairly effective against Recusant cruisers.
    PD: I wish TCW had more combats in this style. I would have made things more balanced.
