1. How to file a complaint in women cell?
Filing a Women cell complaint is pretty easy and straight forward. If the Mahila Thana does not accept the complaint, CAW Cell Complaint can be filed online.
Crime Against Women Cell (CAW Cell) encourages the Complainant, married woman, to give her Complaint in writing. CAW Cell then enters the said written Complaint in its register, as maintained by it in the CAW Cell. The first step in the CAW cell process is the counselling of the wife on the day when she visits the cell with her complaint. They tell her her rights and limitations, and the rights and limitations of the husband, and the path that will be followed during the whole process. The wife gives her complaint in writing to the department at this point of time.
2. What is the meaning of CAW Cell? Mahila thana mein kya hota hai?
First counselling is done in Mahila Thana before receipt of complaint of 498a. After that the proceedings at CAW Cell start. In Delhi (CAW Cell) Crime Against Women Cell was established in 1983, under section 19 of the Delhi Police Act. CAW Cell is like any other specialized wing of the Delhi Police like Special Cell, Crime Branch, etc., where firstly an attempt is made to bring about unity between the two spouses so as to make the marriage a success. On the failure of these reconciliation attempts, the law is allowed to take its course. CAW Cell is only a conciliatory body where efforts are made for conciliation with the free will of the parties. If any person is not willing to go to CAW Cell, he cannot be compelled.
3. How do I get a copy of my Compliant from CAW Cell?
You can request them or file an RTI.
In order to get CAW Cell Complaint Copy through RTI you need to ask specific to-the-point direct & non-rebuttable questions/ queries through RTI. b) Descripttion of information required : c) Noting Sheets, day-to-day proceedings sheet, communications etc.
4. How do you handle CAW Cell? How CAW Cell works?
The present video shall guide you step by step with respect to the above. CAW Cell has no power to investigate the crime. It is not a police station where FIRs are registered. Investigation in any crime can be done only after registration of FIR. CAW Cell only makes reconciliatory efforts between the parties that also up to the stage of pre- registration of FIR. The investigation can also be done by CAW Cell if it is referred to it after registration of FIR.
5. What are the CAW Cell Powers? Mahila thana police ke paas kitni power hoti hai?
They have ample powers to try and bring about a resolution. But they cannot force or threat anyone for a settlement.

Hello sir . . my wife filed complain in CAW cell and i got summon to be present in station but as my mother is going under cancer treatment i requested them along with all reports of my mother to postpond the date for three months as chemo therapy is going on and i can not come and leave my mother as i am the only person who is taking care of her during this tough time but police man said he can not give me this much time and i again got summon to atteend the meeting . Inform the police about this. Alternatively you may file a writ petition before the high court.

Please attend the mediation at Dwarka Court because that shows your good faith in not evading the process of law. Also the divorce case needs to be defended. Yes the woman can. You may also file a petition before court for filing of challan by the police.
