I feel like the lingo is also different. The accent is stronger in the east. You can tell where someone is from by how they talk. As a female, I feel like the guys are night and day. Eastend guys spend more on their girls. So they spoil their females. And they are prideful about it. The Westend guys.. not so much. The girls are different as well. Eastend girls, talk usually before they tussle. While Westend girls are quick to box you down 😂. Maybe that's why they get the rep of being more aggressive for lack of better words.
West End here born and raised. I've been subcribed to your channel for a hot minute, but this is the first time I commenting. I must say though that your border is wrong. It's Yonge Street is the border between East and West but nonetheless, I like East End (Scarborough/Don Mills). I've had good memories in the East (wicked summer parties, the girls do look and act more nicer). West End does look older but it is more everything available than in East End (West End having more subways has something to do with it). As far as crime is concerned, it doesn't really make a difference to me. BIG UP TORONTO (regardless if it's East or West) !!!

I've been living in Sauga now for over 15yrs and for me the East does not have a Sauga vibe. Sauga is literally the suburbs + a downtown vibe, but for me the East has too many real blocks to be compared to Sauga. Scarborough back in the 90s was fun and dangerous all at the same time. We had parts that you don't go to if you don't live there. For example, I came up in Malvern and loved it. I went to Mother Teresa HS and went to College at Centennial. However you do not go into another neighborhood like...... Galloway if your not invited or you might get jumped lol! Simple Simple Simple rules. You would know if you had a bullet coming for you because you probably did something to have that bullet coming for you. If you ain't from around here?? Then don't be around here like I said Simple Simple Simple rules. Back then you should know how to fight with knuckles just in case. You would head out west for girls and my west was Sauga Etobico and only if you had wheels because the bus ride took forever. The Vern was always popping on a Friday and Saturday night during the summer. Sometimes you could just chill out at it's many parks bun a ting and listen to the Reggae music playing in the distance and I'm sure all the other places in Scarborough was the same. Now things are dangerous and everybody has a gun and they aren't afraid to use it. Like someone mentioned down below The Vern and G way have always been at it. For now at my old age it's all love. But The Vern and G ways beef goes all the way back into the 90s when I was younger. 1:23 - Up to 1998, Toronto was made up of 5 small “fiefdoms, or kingdoms;” Metro Toronto (Downtown) Etobicoke, North York, York, East York, and Scarborough. Each had their own Government, City Hall and School Board. Each had their own Fire Dept, Sanitation service, but all had the same Toronto Police and TTC Transit. In 1998 they joined together (Amalgamated) under a single municipal government at Nathan Phillips Square City Hall. Toronto was called The Mega-City.
C'mon bruh, everybody in the Toronto area knows that Yonge St is the city divider. Although to me, anything west of Bathurst is the west end, and anything east of Broadview is the east end lol. I grew up in Downtown and Scarborough, and yeah, Scarborough and the west end are like night and day lol.

The west is definitely more fun and cultured but scarborough is better place to live. More relaxing more nature parks less traffic congestion especially at rush hour owning a home is much more affordable hence more home ownership by Caribbean people
I live in the ReX and I mostly dated girls from the East end. I can say personally that the girls are WAY more good than West end girls. And the mans try to hard. Like bro I'm asking for the time and I see your phone!! 😂😂 Bout you have no phone.. 2004 era.

My family is from Scarborough (Orton Park) and that whole Markham road area was gangster in the 90s.. ur hearing that from a rex man's. Is the west more gangster that the east? Well the west jave more famous hoods like driftwood, rexdale and jungle.. but Scarborough ain't know pushover. Thata all I can say
first and foremost we live in the city of Toronto We do not have any slums we are in a first world country 😂😂😂 second it gets way more tricky in the Westend then the Eastend not to say shit happen in the east, but let’s keep it real
So the police have said that Scarborough, especially 42 division (anywhere north of the 401) is the safest part of Toronto. They blame the local media’s bias reporting for people thinking that Scarborough is dangerous. I’m not sure if this is still true, but back then, when crime would happen in Scarborough, the news would put emphasis that it occurred in Scarborough. If crime occurred elsewhere, the media would emphasize the nearest intersection to the scene.
6:16 also these kids I knew thought they were just going to move into rexdale for the parties n stuff, but then after getting robbed *everyday* for like 2 weeks, they moved back to Scarborough 😂😂
I lived in Scarborough for 2 years and I just never liked it there. I don’t know what it is but it’s definitely different. That being said things in Scarborough is cheaper than the west end including car insurance. If you can’t find something in the west end or downtown I’m almost sure some store in Scarborough has it cheaper.

SCARLEM ALL DAY!! The answers to these questions depend on WHEN you were comin up. STC used to be live back in the day...talkin 90s and early 2000s...now its trash. Mans remember the black out when STC got raided!! Good times. But when it comes to house parties and jams, West End got da props. Now if we talkin more dangerous...the scarborough crews in the 90s were vicious. Nevermind G-way and malvern. If you were active, 400 and versace crew had spots on lock! The only crew i know of from the west with shottas was Stryker. Most of the hustlers came from Flemo and Jungle. Nowadays Scarbs is gentrified. And we had our own stations outside of the RT...Kennedy, Warden (best patties), and VP are scarborough stations. Back when Warden & VP didn't have cameras on the platforms it was easy to book someone and dash!
I lived in the west for over 20 years Kipling and Steeles ends and yes west end is more exciting but if you are at a point where u want to live a family life far east is way better for quality of life not even Scarborough more Durham region.
The west is waaay more poppin and lit then east. The only issue i had growing up in the west was that innocent people use to get killed from gun violence. I dont hear that too much from scarborough. The east to me seems newer like a sauaga, pickering and its way better in quality of life. The west is the real jungle of toronto 😅
Etobicoke is HUGE! Most people hear Etobicoke and immediately think Rexdale Blvd - Steeles avenue, when that's just a fraction of Etobicoke. South Etobicoke used to be really rough back in the 80s and 90s ( Mimico, Lakeshore area). Central Etobicoke is where you'd fine some nice houses and sought after property and schools. North Etobicoke is where you start hearing about Jamestown, Mount Olive, Silverstone aka StoveTop, Kipling, Humberline and Tandrige, etc. Westmall is pretty much borderline South Central Etobicoke and Mississauga. In essence, it's 3 different dynamics/experiences in just one area (ie. Etobicoke)

I luved this....and I agree 👍 💯
C'mon bruh, everybody in the Toronto area knows that Yonge St is the city divider. Although to me, anything west of Bathurst is the west end, and anything east of Broadview is the east end lol. I grew up in Downtown and Scarborough, and yeah, Scarborough and the west end are like night and day lol.
Scarboro does have the beaches. problem is you have to go at 7 am on a Tuesday if you want to find parking, but it's still nice.
You still hitting the beaches after all the news about the beach sh1tters? Thank God Sauga is full of condos with indoor pools. Sorry for yall hood folks
Brethren imma need you to add a few more east end roads in your thumbnail 😂😂😂
The west is definitely more fun and cultured but scarborough is better place to live. More relaxing more nature parks less traffic congestion especially at rush hour owning a home is much more affordable hence more home ownership by Caribbean people
BET was 57 in scarborough
Yes, it was and I remember the good old times
This is so accurate.....#fax
I live in the ReX and I mostly dated girls from the East end. I can say personally that the girls are WAY more good than West end girls. And the mans try to hard. Like bro I'm asking for the time and I see your phone!! 😂😂 Bout you have no phone.. 2004 era.
Growin up in my time west was a bit more active east end was active but always looked at them as get money n gal first west was always gritty Politics before money but maybe now the past couple years I’d say equal
West like Brooklyn scarbs like queens or Harlem
sounds exactly like the same differences between Hamilton up the mountain and down the mountain.
Sheridan mall ghetto
Terrible
Scarborough has 69k. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.. im from rexdale and I knew he was off. Scarborough has almost double the population than etobicoke.
I’m sure u seen the pinned comment
Went to 1 school in the East and 3 in the West (East: Ranchdale, Wast: Norman Ingaram, Greenland, and Gateway).
Bro did you say Scarborough only has 69,000 people? What abacus yuh use deh? 😂
Kmtttttttt that’s was Scarborough in uk 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ours is acc more then Etobicoke @ about 630k
@@GRIMZSTREAMINGNETWORK 😂😂😂 all good bro 💪🏿
THE SUN RAISE IN THE EAST. IN WEST SUNSET . PS AIRPORT 😮
Being from the west...ive always heard and believed that Scarborough were the slums....no one moves from west to east
Your right ppl in the west usually move more west like sauga Brampton malton or Vaughan
first and foremost we live in the city of Toronto We do not have any slums we are in a first world country 😂😂😂 second it gets way more tricky in the Westend then the Eastend not to say shit happen in the east, but let’s keep it real
@@jamespual6130 canada is not a first world country anymore unfortunately thanks to our PM 🙃
I live in West Hill. Morningside and Lawrence. I've never seen a law get broken. No criminals here. Everything's nice.
😅
6:16 also these kids I knew thought they were just going to move into rexdale for the parties n stuff, but then after getting robbed *everyday* for like 2 weeks, they moved back to Scarborough 😂😂
West side all day every day lol. Serious question, why does the east still have those old TTC subway trains?
They called the rt and there closed now
There’s no real argument for Scarborough. It sucks.
Lol
I lived in Scarborough for 2 years and I just never liked it there. I don’t know what it is but it’s definitely different. That being said things in Scarborough is cheaper than the west end including car insurance. If you can’t find something in the west end or downtown I’m almost sure some store in Scarborough has it cheaper.
Different generation they all hooked up on drugs or living off the government
@mikeyjames further east Pickering Ajax etc. I find them girls are very entitled delusional etc. Most are waste cyatties set up ting
Yoo what ends you from 👀
ACTUALLY ANYTHING WEST OF YONGE ST IS THE WEST MY GUY.
Well I say vp , I’m from east Scarborough Yonge st is waaaay out west my guy
Yonge St is where the mark starts. Simple
@Mronpointwithrighteour1 bro I’m not going back and forth with you I said what I said
You do know if I run what you believe to 10 random people about anything west of VP. Your gonna look crazy but hey you can't teach ignorance.
@@Mronpointwithrighteour1 fam u look crazy keep tryna argue with me about my opinion . I’m not reaching Fck I told everyone THATS WHAT I THINK THATS WHERE I BELIEVE IT ENDS , so if you don’t think so why keep arguing with me ? 😂 you don’t have anything else to do 😂😂😂
This guy has a personal vendetta against north york/etobicoke. Kinda funny watching him trying to single handedly make Scarborough seem better
Your a fuckin clown 😂😂😂 stop tryna be deep and woke and enjoy the show
Scar city all day!!
this was fun lol #eastside all day
What about West end? Which area is considered West Ends?
Didn’t u watch the video
@@GRIMZSTREAMINGNETWORKlmfao real talk that was the first ting u said
West End the best end. Done the talkss!! 😂
All day
BET was 57 in Scarborough
Bro the channels were killing me 😂😂😂 the east kids grew up different eh 😂😂😂
1:41 true Mel last man made big Toronto in 1999
Scarborough is the best. Imagine being from Etobicoke...
Still better then scarbz. Etibicoke is were you get the best food spots and nuff parties
Etobicoke)
