What an exceptional artist. It is of striking meaning how art, and indeed life can transform beautifully when one engages with sensitivity and awareness. I particularly found the conception and execution of "Mayuralarippu" stunning. A big thank you to the artist.
wow. Lovely idea Mrs. Rama! I never have looked this deep into the mythology of my country. Shukriyaa aapne humare ko prerana di. Humein garv hota hain aap jaise bharat vasiyo par.
Ok, now this video will definitely slot as one of my favourite's. Though an engineering student, I am compelled and moved by the explanations she has given and the performance she has shown. Everything of beauty has a deep influence if we only look or delve into it.
Whoever the curator of this event is- I think this iz the best TEDx to have been staged in India. Does any1 know of a smarter and well curated TEDx in India? I juz luv to watch TEDx videos but haven't come across many gud 1's from India. This one and Anand Chulani's from this event is rockin'
I could neither see the abhinayam properly (Rama Ji's abhinayam is one of my favorites), nor the beautiful mayuralaripu ! She spoke through her body, her eyes, and because of the unnecessary zooming out and shots of musicians at wrong times, I heard only half the story!
It's stange that for a TED talk with a dancer there is no spotlight on the dancer but on the Shiva idols in the background. The camera movements shifting from the vocalist to the dancer and back were hardly the type one would expect for such a performance. The poise and charm of the dancer could have been hi-lighted by better use of lights and cameras.
The camera work is really disappointing and irritating. Unhelpful camera angles and unintelligent focusing. We expect better from a TED event. She is such an amazing dancer and this "documentation" ignores that completely.

Unprofessional Photographer destroyed all sense of devotion and dedication of the legendary Rama Vaidyanathan!
