Just think of the break room of this maze, 8 clickers, a few bloaters, like 3 Joel’s and 3 Ellie’s all togther in a room

This was my favorite maze of the year! I also liked Stranger Things, but this maze really adapted the video game really well and the Clicker makeup was awesome
Went last night and I loved this maze!
Only way it could've been better in my opinion is if they added some longer pauses in between the looping dialogue. It does kinda get grating hearing stuff like "Ugh this place stinks" or "soooo.... this is awkward" 3 or more times in the same room. Might just be me, though.
I agree it made me decide not to go this looked disappointing
DEFINITELY better! Orlando was alright, but it felt very rushed and disorganized. It did a really poor job telling the narrative compared to this. This is UNBELIEVABLE compared to Orlando!
I went Sunday night and I agree. This one looked much better. Orlando had one Ellie and one Joel and felt like it was all over the place.
Orlando feels like a TWD house more than the TLOU. This immediately put you with Joel and Ellie. You never stop hearing them. Orlando usually does so much better than they did with both this and Chucky and probably Stranger Things.
Went to the Orlando one- so jealous of Hollywood for this one tho🔥🔥🔥

I’m not sure if you can find any good videos of Orlando’s but it follows the game to a tee even though it starts in the middle
both Hollywood and Orlando are based on the game. Hollywood is just a little different than Orlando.
Orlando, it follows the Pittsburgh sequence from the Truck ambush on incredibly. Much more immersive than the the closed off environments and well lit hallways on Hollywood.

Yeah, it’s definitely not better than Orlando’s outside of more Joel and Ellie scenes, but it’s way too much of them and not nearly enough great looking infected that Orlando has in a haunt event.

am i the only one who finds this to be incredibly boring and uncreative? the sets are rather small for universals standarts and it feels kind of cheap.

It would be cool if we could get something similar to Scorn or Dead Space for a maze. I think space monster/zombie horror has a lot of potential. Perhaps there was an Alien maze at some point? Probably more costly due to animatronics and scenery.
I’d want a Dead By Daylight maze. We could get so many maps and see a lot of the game’s OG killers like Trapper, Nurse, Hillbilly, and Wraith pop up
@@StormX6That's a great idea actually. Hell, they could make it an interactive and your mission is to fix generators and evade the baddies. Similar to like the Resident Evil interactive maze(s) in Japan.
i wish they would do alien, they have done alien vs predator a couple of times, the costumes and sets always look stellar, they also did silent hill once which is not the same genre really but its another adaptation of a video game that was extremely well done

Yeah this is a thing they do usually. I do think that's one of the main things they could improve upon, like, I think it's fine to not have the actors speak but it wouldn't be that hard to make it more believable
It probably would have been better to have speakers under the clothing so it sounds like the voices are coming from them
I get what you mean about the loops it would have been better with directional speakers.
Went yesterday and all u could hear towards the end of the maze was “ Thanks for the warning on the other side guys.” 😂
Dude, what happened in Orlando with both this and Chucky. Had they looked like this, I would have gone. This got Joel and Ellie right and actually made them a presence you were with through the entire thing. It didn't feel like a TWD clone with one of two appearances from Joel and Ellie. I can't believe how bad Orlandos is in comparison. This actually felt like the game and that is a clever nod to TWD houses of the past at the end.
Would love to do this l-just hearing Ashley Johnson for like a solid 5-10 minutes would bring me all the joy.
How are you able to walk through this without any people in front of you? Genuinely asking. I just came back from the park and the “eternal conga line” kind of ruined the whole experience. Is there a trick? Or do I need to spend more money? How is this done?
Unfortunately not, when it's open, there's almost always a continuous line of people in front and behind. That's why the reset on the voice over is so often, you're supposed to through a scene in a few seconds. At least, that was my experience. They're really busy!
What day and time did you end up going?
Just did the Orlando and was disappointed to learn that it was different from the Hollywood version. No real narrative scenes. I’d seen the “pun book” scene in advance and was expecting to see that. So many of the houses are just a series of opportunities for jumpscares and I was looking forward to seeing them elevate the experience - but TLOU Orlando was really just a series of jumpscares.
Orlando just redecorated the parade building with TWD props and added one Joel and Ellie and said it was done. It is so bad in comparison. They got the lighting completely wrong.
Orlando seemed scarier and hollywood seems more narrative. But both take place in different parts of the game.
Didn't begin with the abrupt death of a loved one, 0/10.
But seriously, this was a cool idea with some decent visuals, and I'm intrigued by the way they have live actors lip-syncing the characters. Not entirely successful, but I'd love for the creators to keep experimenting with this sort of haunted house; I think there's tons of potential for some really immersive/innovative thrills.

People have to move and pass by constantly so they do that so nobody can miss it
It would be incredible if there was that scene of the flooded building, where there is a floating piano that plays by itself, attracting the horde of zombies, imagine the visitors going into the water up to their waists, would something like that be possible one day perhaps at the Universal water park?
I doubt they'd ever do something like that at the water park, but you can create the effect of wading through water with fog and a horizontal laser machine.
@@ZiggyZoko But it wouldn't be the same thing, because when entering the water we would feel part of the story, smell the wet fungi, etc.
Having water that the guests go through poses logistical and safety issues. It was a battle to pass inspections at the haunted house I used to work at when we had pond liners filled with water to create a swamp and the guests weren’t even walking through the water. I can’t even imagine how much of a nightmare inspections would be to have guests actually walk through water.

I gotta ask which scene are you referring to? TLOU is my fav game and I can’t for the life of me remember that part. Unless you’re referring to a scene from the show in which case I’d understand why I’m lost lol

@@bluesteno64 Orlando's definitely looks better. Some of the clickers in the Hollywood one don't even look like the game which I don't understand how or why they took that approach. Mayne they wanted some of their own take?? Idk

this is kinda cool, but why would it start off with them in front where you can just walk through the opening 'cutscene'?
Hmmm...I remembered reading about this online. Nice touches, but I think Universal could have done it a bit better.
For example, let the actors speak. Relying on recorded dialogue definitely makes me think of the game, but makes it really obvious that the actors are just mouthing. Especially if the dialogue is so short that it ends up repeating itself. I know from experience (worked as a scare actor for a few decent years) that constantly talking can be murder on the throat, but they have enough props to get some bottles given to each actor.
Maybe add a few breaking wire mesh fences along the way, to give it the effect of the Clickers trying to break through. Makes it look like a consistent effort to get to the guests, rather than a 'scare-and-back-off' scene. It was way too apparent when the Zombie Guard backed off when Joel went for firing an arrow.
I do love more narrative hounted houses, and the actors were great at their scene roles. Wonder if they rotate, or if it's just "Generator Joel" for the whole run...

Yeah definitely because I went to this one yesterday and it was SO dark I couldn’t even appreciate the little details but it was still fun
I remember the first day I went it was CRAZY dark but the second day it was much brighter. I’m guessing some lights wasn’t working properly
