I love what you're doing! I used to work on props for the theatre, and although thrift shops and garage sales were my bread and butter, driving around scavenging for leftovers us was my joy!
Back in 1989, I fell in love with my assistant Sigrid over a find. We were out one day looking, for all things, of dead flower arrangements for "Little Shop of Horrors". I was one bead off raiding the local graveyards when we passed the town fanciest funeral home and my stuff-alarm went off. It had a dumpster!
Now, I'm a dumpster diver from way back, but this one was a bit too tall for fat old me...next thing I know, Sigrid's hopped into the dumpster like a dirty shirt, and we pull out about 10 or 12 dead floral arrangements, and a funeral wreath with a pristine tripod for display! They were all keepers...and so was she! Our love ran close to a decade, but our friendship has lasted 35 years.
Love is where you find it..even in a dumpster, if you see with the right eyes.
Nice. I keep an eye out for motors, people throw away good mowers and weedeaters and whatnot all the time.
