@Schimon5 It's good to know there are others out there who favor this song. I know several other Editors fans, but no one else seems to care for Like Treasure much....
I'm with rd, this is my favorite track. Also love The Boxer, and Bricks and Mortar. The live version of the title track is stronger than what the put on disc. Have yet to see them live here in the US, so i'm very grateful for all of you posting videos!
I LOVE IT. You can see Russel look at Tom at 3:08 sensing how emotional the moment is and the song. It's like he looks at Tom seeing if he is okay, wondering if he is crying or something. I love it when bands go all out concerning emotion and just let loose. There is nothing like it. I love heart wrenching music. That's why I love Editors. I hope they continue to go even deeper with the emotion in their music.
This has got to be the best song off the the album. It's just got so many awesome effects going on, like some shoegaze band or something. The bass is so fucking loud and the vocals mix perfectly with the keyboards in the chorus.
I just had a long lesson at my uinversity, and all I wanted to do was come back to my room and watch this over and over again lol. I've actually spent most of my day listening to this song. It's absolutely amazing.
Damn, the emotional intensity from 3:01 onwards sums up my life and how beautiful it has been, and that is all I can say about that. Absolutely amazing song. Editors have out done themselves again, and they will continue to... "I will bury you like treasure..."
So amazing, so deep. Is it just me or did Tom Smith seem like he wanted to cry at 3:04? These lyrics are deep, and whatever he is singing about sounds dear to him. You can tell. Awesome stuff once again from Tom Smith.
the men seated on stage in the background, who are probably sound men or whatever they are. I think to myself, damn, this is such an emotional song, how can u just sit there with a straight face? I know that they are not part of the audience so to speak, but anyone who listens to this song and is not emotionally effected in some kind of way, there has to be something wrong. This song is so heart wrenching, doesn't anyone else feel this? There is so much intense emotion in it...
I actually saw them last night in Sheffield, and they played this track. They played Bricks and Mortar too, but not The Boxer. But I agree they are all great songs. They also played The Big Exit too, which was probably my least favourite on the album, and probably not an obvious song to play at a gig. But after hearing it live I've actually become more fond if it.
My favorite is "You Don't Know Love" Followed by this song. As i have posted earlier the instrumental after 1:26 is different from the rest of the song. It sounds so dramatic and it just gives me the weirdest goosepumbs. I keep returning to this video because i feel that the studio version does not capture the true raw emotion and excitement.
exact same mate, least favourite on the album (the big exit) then seen them in glasgow for the 2nd time and the song has started to grow on me after hearing it live
Yeah, I think there are 9 tracks, and there will be a bonus CD available to buy I think named cuttings 2 with such tracks as 'This house is full of noise...' I think it will have five songs on it. But i dont think I will be going to any gigs at this time, I'm at university right now lol, you know... But I will hopefully go sometime soon when I can... U can private message me anytime. :D
it's hard to pick just one song off the album, but this is definetly one of them, the boxer's gr8 aswell, as is bricks and mortar, you don't know love, eat raw meat...
Hmm, I'm very sorry but I am not quite sure when it will be released in the U.S. It will most likely be next month or something. It shouldn't be too long though..
mooie opname van een van de beste - zo niet het beste nummer ooit van de Editors; ik kan niet wachten tot 1 mei in de HMH in Amsterdam, het dak eraf zou ik zeggen bij dit nummer, een schatje. For the english people: it's my favourite; can't waite till 1 mei in the HMH in Amsterdam. I should say: play the roof of with this track. It's an 'treasure'
This is possibly my favourite song on the album. Nice one Editors!

I guess it's true that they put their heart and soul into their music. Very rare these days.
es muy editors este tema, me encanta

1:26 to 1:42 is the best part. Gives me the chills!
I have a setlist too :))) and got Tom's plectrum when he threw to the crowd after Fingers! :)

@alistairburns Bricks and Mortar is great too, there are tons of great songs on the album it's almost impossible to pick a favorite.
Do you have any idea when it will be released in the U.S. im getting very impatient.
Russel's Rick and this song. Just so good. It just doesnt sound the same on my bass.

this is probably my least favourite song on the new album, but all i can say is "what a fucking tune!"
