I also think it is pretty sad, because he actually could destroy GBB, but simply because he can't get himself up to be at least a little bit disciplined to make the efforts to prepare, he remains underrated. The day he actually cares about winning GBB he will.
A lot of people avoid the GBB now because is in Tokyo which is very far from most of the people outside of Asia, he is in German World Champs, I can’t wait to have a GBB in EU
1:03 i've just started watching beatboxing so im curious, does this taking in a breath and basically pausing your song count against you? surely right?
It depends. Judges will look at your tempo and bpm. If you breathe at the small breaks like REMIX did here it doesn't count as a mistake. Kinda similar to singing. But if you breathe heavily right inside of a beatboxing part not at the break then it is a really huge mistake because it ruins the flow.
i respect your opinion bro, but i have to disagree with you. Besides the power and complexity that Remix always had maxed out, here he added probably the best structure he ever had, cleanliness and even musicality was there. This was definitely top 10.
If this is the best structure he ever had, this would be sad. I actually think this was only 20% of his true potential. I am ready for the day when he actually prepares lol
@@prizegotti you trippin bro.. mention someone above him from the available wildcards, besides osis and ice who were clearly above everyone else. You'd be able to find even worse flaws from anyone else. And to be honest I find this year's wildcards much weaker than last years so maybe that expliens your unrelasitic expectations. I'm saying comparatively to his previous stuff, and others, he's doign really well.
@@NathanDanielPrice his reasoning for not wanting to make one sounds like BS though. What kinda beatboxer would put local events before getting a chance to compete at the biggest competition in our scene?
@@prizegotti I mean, he may not feel fully prepped, he may want to win since it's actual income whereas travelling to attend GBB is expensive for artists (historically) and if you don't win it's literally a cost for nothing.
@@prizegotti For context (and I'm not even sure if it has changed), beatboxers have to pay for flight, accomodation and food to and from GBB. If you aren't sure you will win you literally lose money, going to a local event which you will most likely win is literally the better option than risking losing money if you aren't prepped yet for GBB

@@beleafftrue, I would also love to see a GBB event live, but I am also living in the EU
didn't he get kinda screwed somehow with points last year? idk if that plays into it at all and maybe feeling a little bit of frustration as well?
Remix's freestyle is better than most beatboxers routine shheesshh
The intro! Perfecto XD
For Remix to get 20th with a mostly random routine is insanity. If he decided to actually plan for a GBB routine, he would have absolutely made it in.

Couldn't disagree more. If this is what people are considering top 10 these days, then our entire scene is fucked.

i respect your opinion but i think the structure sucks. he can do better.
would his routine make a difference if he didnt say what he said?
Maybe ? 🤷♂️
Why 60% freestyle? Here are my guesses.
1. Bro thinks he's NAPOM.
2. Bro thinks it's unique
3. Bro just having some fun.
Bro also did say that he wasnt planning on making one but people kept requesting it non stop
