The Decisive Campaigns Series is the best operational level series if you like easily managed complexity. I've asked Mrs Claus to get me this for Christmas. Can't wait.

I am learning this game too. It will take some time to get into it, but it is a great game at all. Reading the manual to undestand the rules was very important for me. Take your time, I am looking forward an new DC Adrennes vids.

Arracourt is a good starting scenario. My first try on Arracourt was a fail too, but my second was a major victory with nearly captured every victory point except one single as the Axis. Axis are very strong and allies will get very weak at the end of the scenario. As I learned from this game - encirclements are not the key to be successful as in DC Barbarossa.
