Hey Westen, I did this same swap about a year ago. Love it, i'm sure you will too! Currently running a BorgWarner S364/68/.9 charger, and with proper trans tuning and usable lockup, its a good size charger for street and towing. Im around 500-550hp with FASS and normal mild 12V upgrades.

For sure a compound variable G turbo setup to keep that whistle singing, and then a nice 4 trumpet train horn for when someone makes it stop unexpectedly. I have one in my rig, with a little toggle switch to go between, "move please" to "GTFO THE WAY" real quick. Happy birthday Westen! May your new steed serve you well.

Something I started doing for filming. If I'm going to mostly be working on the front of whatever it is, if I can, I back it into the shop. Then the light is shining on it instead of overexposing the camera. Great video as always! Stocked to see this thing running. Hoping to build a CR cummins dually soon if I can find a good blown 6.4 to start with.
Also the antenna hitting the garage door as you back out always reminds me of building my roomates cummins swapped ramcharger in our 2 car garage.

If they removed the cab and left the bolts loose be sure and check the steering shaft bolts don’t want the steering to fail at 70

To have that knowledge at that age is impressive. You should build a steel frame in the shop with a section going outside to mount a hoist on and you could move engines and a thing around without struggling.

I just love that you are re-purposing older trucks which would be otherwise sent to the crusher. It's in reality the greenest, best thing for the environment! All the energy inputs that went into the truck are saved. Great stuff!

I like it dude! I have an 02 2500 Dodge w/Cummins, I bought new. I still drive her every day, and I seriously would take off for the west coast in it as soon as I changed the filters and fluids. But what you have right there.... Yeah, that's what every diesel pickup truck driver wants. A newer Ferd chassis and body with a first or second generation Cummins. Dream truck.

A Rancho dual steering wheel stabilizer took my death wobbles away for good on my 2008 F-350 long bed lariat. Cheap easy fix!
I have that on my 250. Works great. Need to replace it soon tho, get in a little rusty.
I think theres a loose connection between the seat and the steering wheel!

When I worked at Cummins for ten years back in the 1980s I repowered several 12 vave Cummins in Dodges, Chevy, Ford 1 tons and a lot of Deck cranes for Belger Cartage.
At the age of 21 you got things together and you seem to be very smart and a very good mechanic. Happy Birthday have a beer for me. I love the truck but I'd really love it if it was a Chevy now that needs to be your next build that way you could have put the Allison behind the Cummins. Thanks for sharing God Bless.

30 weight oil works really well... Shut them Ford power steering pumps right up..
My 1981 still used Type F. Poured half a can of water in it oops open can under the slider. It was in there 3 weeks (4,000 miles) before I could flush it. No damage always worked great.

I had the same problem when I put a Cummins in busted 08 F350 CCLB. The cab wasnt bolted down and missing some bolts and it made for a scary first ride.
I just got an ad for Diesel Power Source (DPS) and the dude in the commercial owns a Fummins
