The old MW2 has left me with a soft spot for UMP.45 looking weapons.

It's a groovy looking gun. Very comfortable to use as well.

@@MrLilredmachine very cqb friendly fps and still looks modern enough. It's never really dated visually

@@the-sarge84 agreed, both on the looks and on the FPS, was lower than expecting but it still has no problem getting out to 50m, so is more than suitable for CQB.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas and New year.
The power and accuracy of your one does seem a little disappointing though the accuracy I wouldnt be so concerned about since, as you said, sometimes just reassembling the hop unit can do the trick - otherwise it's quite common to upgrade hop and barrel on low ish end aegs anyways and you would still probably be looking at less than 200 for the whole package.
The power on the other hand could be result of all manner of things, hopefully just a weak spring rather than air seel problems. I wonder if that something that varies from retailer to retailer, as to say if they downgrade the spring themselves or if they get them direct from distributor with low power springs.
Regardless its still quite a cool gun and though for a cqb environment a lot of the mosfet features are irrelevant, should you get one that has good power and accuracy out the box then those features can be quite attractive for outdoor play where you have less restrictions. Your comments on getting a cyma definitely do stand true though since they seem to hold the special sauce when it comes to price:performance

I think it may have just had the wrong spring put in it during the downgrade, an air seal issue would see consistency issues, but it's sitting reliably around 280/285 and not jumping about. Outside/forest play would be great for the gearbox features, but I feel like you would be using something with a longer front end and barrel for longer distance work anyway, and that this is focused more on a CQB environment with it's stunted length. Great little gun though, and I'll be opening it up to right the accuracy woes soon enough, even if it is just to sell on an recoup money for the channel haha.

My M906C was pretty odd with varying FPS figures (usually at ~270fps but as high as 300 and as low as 230 outdoors). I then changed the spring (and the hop and nub) and everything was peachy. Thanks to the quick change spring system it was an easy job and now the gun shoots at 340fps.
Changing the rubber and nub didn't really improve my accuracy, but it was fine before the change tbh.

Hmmm, interesting, looks like a redo video with a few parts might be a good idea! Thanks for the info, and watching the vid!

Incidentally, what spring did you have to go to to get the 340ish? That sounds about perfect. 👌

@@MrLilredmachine It looks like my reply yesterday was binned, as I linked to a thread on the Airsoft Forums UK about my experiences fettling the 906. Oh well... it's there, just search for "Double Eagle M906C - Internal upgrades / tinkering"
The springs I tried both gave me ~320fps with 0.25's no hop applied, and 340-360 with 0.20s depending on hop. The first spring was Classic Army M100, the second an ASG M105 (which is still in there now, still seems good, though I've not chrono'd recently)

First off just found your channel and few video's I've watched are decent so subscribed. With respect to this RIF most common issue for myself and other users I've encountered has only been a poor quality hop rubber which most people upgrade on any stock RIF anyway..I'm suprised by your low fps, thats definitley not been a common issue with most users..Mines running at 1.09J on a 0.28.Overall a great package..let us know how it changes with a decent hop rubber installed -my guess with yours and the double feeds from full mags is the hop arm is not applying any resistance to the rubber and the mag spring power under full compression is forcing a 2nd bb into hop

      Thanks for subscribing!
Yes, I suspect the hop is to blame for most of the guns (or this particular guns) woes. The rubber needs to be swapped out and the arm inspected closely. I know that these have a good reputation and the build quality/materials in generally excellent, as it was with the earlier M4 models. Thanks for watching some of my stuff, hope you'll stick around. I'm going to be reviewing a comparative Cyma soon for a money-money comparison.
