Marsabit farmers opt to grow miraa over food crops

- Suppose you had a piece of land on which you could grow anything, provided you have water, what would you grow? For most people the obvious answer is a food crop but for farmers in Marsabit County, food crops is not an option for them. As Safi Godana reports, years of frequent droughts, and a rapidly changing climate is leaving the farmers with very few choices, and many of them are turning to Miraa.

Stop worrying comrade, Miraa grown in Meru and that grown in hot sun baked Marsabit is like comparing Robusta and Arabica coffee- no competition.
