As a kid we’d ride our bikes from HB to NB. There was a Lamborghini dealership there. One day we went in and there was a red Diablo. The mirrors were painted to match his guitar. Just the mirrors, nothing else. Such an awesome flex.

@TheRealCatof Knowing to buy a Miura in the early 1980s is a sign of taste and foresight. Same for people buying a Ferrari Daytona in the last 70s and early 80s before the price skyrocketed. Give me an example of a car that's tasteful, but inexpensive. Understand that "taste" is subjective" and "inexpensive" is a moving variable depending on net worth. That's why some cars are universally held as "tasteful" outside of the subject variables. The Miura, SL Gullwing, S Class MB, Rolls Royce, Porsche 911 Carrera or Turbo, Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic etc.

I think the fact that it has no crash structure in the roof and it's tendency to catch fire rolling over or not might have contributed a bit. Hell, I had a bit of clenching action going on while watching the field part of the action :D.

When I was a teenager, a friend's friend had one of these (and a Countach, he was a bit of a Lamborghini aficionado). I never got to ride in the Countach, but in this. It was quite an experience outracing a custom-tuned number from a red light in a behemoth like this.
When rumours were going around about Lamborghini developing a new SUV, I was hoping for a new version of this. The LM was unique, and was so ground breaking when it first came out. The "me too" glammed up VW Touareg that was released was pretty disappointing. Not that I'm in this market to begin with. Great work as always on the video.
Had a moment of Deja Vu there when the door handle fell off. When I was a kid I was at the local Porsche dealer with my pops, and there happen to be a 308 Ferrari in the showroom. Another customer opened the door and the handle fell off. 😂

My uncle had one. His was forest green, and it was the first fuel injected one made, so it still had the big cowled hood. He had a full set of the original tires sitting to the side, because they wee $5k each. He got it because he was frustrated with how slow his H1 was. I think in the 20-ish year he owned it, it may have ran a total of 6 months.

The really interesting option on the LM002 was exchanging the Countach V12 for a the 720 bhp Lamborghini L804 7.2 litre marine V12... Not to many of those were ever put in these...

That wS absolutely normal for a 4x4 up until the early 90's. Even then people would swap to manual hubs as auto hibs were unreliable.
