In our testing, we were able to drive the cars with an 80m long track (even in loopings). Since our was way longer than that of course we needed to find a solution. Originally we wanted to manage it with one power supply but quickly realised that it is not possible to controll the whole track from one place. Thats when we decided to split the track into multiple sections with individual power supplies (and control units). These sections where not directly connected. We used jumps or short pieces of track without the metal bands in it for example. How did you manage to have a good power supply in such a long track since carrera says that you can only make a track up to 15 m long?
