You made a comprehensive, and thankfully, short video demonstrating the great aspects of a shout warrior build. Thank you very much for the work you did, it helped me with some concepts that I hadn't approached yet. Great work on the video!
Glad to see you making videos again. Thanks for this one. I was little lost about how to even play my warrior. She was a day away from being deleted. This build looks very cool. Will have to try it out. Thanks again and keep the videos comin!
I absolutely LOVE this build dude, ty so much for uploading this. Works Great. (Only thing I changed for personal preference is zerk jewelry/back for ez stuff like,
Thanks so much for posting this. Just hit 60 and I've been having trouble with larger mobs, especially when there are a few ranged I can't LoS. Tried this out two days ago and have yet to die. Amazing.
This is one of the reasons why I love the warrior so much. The passive health regen coupled with the versatility of the shouts makes and a large health pool makes you a walking brick house.
Thanks for pointing that out! With the Mesmer I feel like I've exhausted most of the "general" builds. My new ones are generally combinations / tweaks of older builds that have been optimized for the meta. So essentially the answer to your question is yes, but it will take bigger changes to the class before I post something. HOWEVER, currently I do have two prototype builds in the making, so it's possible they could appear sooner than I'm anticipating.
I see your point. Sometimes it can be troublesome to find 2 guardians for fractals though when you're in the 40+. I posted this build since warrior is the most common class, and was showing people that they had options to run high level fractals even if they want to stick on their warriors.
Love Warrior builds like this. I'm a lazy warrior and hate having to pop heal so it's really awesome when sorta passively you're being healed by being offensive with Shouts. Definitely going to try and incorporate a lot of this into my build, or evolve my build I should say. Thanks for the video!
I haven't been playing Guild Wars quite as much lately, but I'm considering playing again soon! Are there any other games you would want me to make videos of in addition to Guild Wars?
Just an fyi there is no such thing as invincible in gw2. This video is just to show how to stay alive longer. And again gw2 is all about the person playing. an average person can use this 100% including armor weapons sigils and runes and so on and they can do terrible. it takes practice. I roam WvW with full zerker and can survive. it ALL depends on the player. But all in all this is a great and helpful video! :)
I don't mean to down the video. Don't get me wrong i use this build! =P It is extremely helpful! But like everything it takes practice to get used to it and prefect it. I play a gold knight engi on the FA server. Been in 1v1's with bronze guardians with this build and have completely dominated them in t1 servers. but then been up against a few others and have been destroyed myself. It all depends on how it is played.
Mixing in some additional Clerics gear will definitely be a must if the rumors to increased healing power are true. Tank / healer is just such a good sustain party member that they can be invaluable in those type of dungeons like you mentioned.
Previously I made videos exclusively for the Mesmer, but I wanted to start showing some of the builds I use for the other professions I play. Glad to know other people are using it :)
Welcome back....this warrior will iof course not die....but your party will, while the mobs still are alive...i mean the warrior is the damagemachine and. Has the best capabilitys to spread damage for the grp!
Interesting build, I like how you use Healing Shouts to compensate for never putting Healing Signet's passive regen on cooldown. Only suggestion is to get rid of Spiked Armor, it's great WvW zerg battles but weak in PvE. Either swap it to Defy Pain or Cull the Weak, or move those 10pts to Discipline, Arms, or Strength. Also, nice music too - I normally cbf to watch build videos, prefer a quick look at a calc, but your music kept me going.
Hey Reborn, what is your opinion on using cleric's armor instead of trooper(soldier) armor? The runes would stay as soldier runes but the extra healing power on the armor itself mathematically makes more sense to me. You would only have about 23,000 health... but your healing power would be up to 1,300 instead of 600. Is this better? or is vitality still a better trait to invest in?
You definitely could! As a matter of fact, Clerics gear (power, toughness, and healing power) may be more effective in group situations now because they buffed healing shouts, and it scales even better with healing power now. Let me know how you find Clerics gear as I am interested in using it myself.
geared up and hit wvw last night, and it works great ^_^ I had 5 people just on me and lasted around 2 mins, shouts heal for around 4k and my health is around 27/28k. ran some first timers through AC path 3 and I almost carried the group. thanks for the build again.
I was playing warrior in sPvP till rank 37 and now i decided to go on PvE.I was looking for a build once i reach lvl 80,but couldnt find anything suitable.I dont like full dps builds,or no dmg at all builds.I like when everything in your build works together. So finally i found what i was looking for, this build looks very good to me,and im definetly going for it.Thanks very much for sharing.(Subscribed)
I really like your build. But do not have as much gold to re-gear. Like'd to hear your opinions on Knight Armor with Soldier runes + Zerker Trinkets. Traits wise and Utility skill wise is the same as your guide. Do you think its any effective?
Hi, I'm just wondering if you have updated this build with the 12/10/13 patch? Also, is it possible to use an ax and/or mace with this build? Or if there is a variation using banners?
I guess there's no problem with weapon sets, because most of the sinergy of the build comes from the shout skills; also, that answers your question, this is pretty much a shout build.
Reborn Reality Hey, I'm about to start playing GW2 and you seem to be quite knowledgeable about the game, and it would be cool to be able to based myself off of your advice, but it seems like you never uploaded the updated builds and I was wondering if you were going to do that anytime soon? Thanks.
Still an unbeleveable build. I am still geting adjusted to how tuff I am and how much support I can offer but holy hell am I hard to kill now. I took this build into a bunch of dungeons but by far my favorite was jormag. He uses fear like 3 times in a row, I use a shout all 3 times and hes down in like 10 minuits.
The shout heals will be the same whether you use PVT or Berserker gear, so yeah it will work just as well only you will be less tanky and more DPS oriented, but that works better in certain situations anyways :)
Hey Mere, good to see you making videos again! I'm running a very similar build in WvW sometimes. Only with runes of dwayna and full clerics jewels. Also I use a banner + regen from the trait for larger groups. Haven't tried it in a dungeon, do you think it'll do well? PS. Great choice of music as per usual :)
I have been playing warrior since game came out. I haven't played in two months due to technical issues. I love tanking with my warr especially since most guardian players think only other guardian can tank due to the healz and condition removal. This build just shows how little some people know about warriors.
What I use 6/0/0/6/2 I use the same method for shouts but I go with greatsword damange instead of the toughness route. the last 2 are for warrior's sprint. I use soldiers gear combine with cleric and of course a long bow with the recharge faster trait. I use the 3 shots he features there but instead of healing signet I go with healing surge cause I relay on heals rather then regeneration. For me movement + power are the key. Hope this helped you ;)
I see your point, but with a proper rotation this build still does decent damage (10K+ with hundred blades). When you can get your longbow combo field out almost 50% of a boss fight and stand in the face of large group of mobs while using your full hundred blades attack and dealing tons of retaliation damage, your damage might be lackluster but is by no means bad. Mix in some knights if you wish to get some extra damage. Yay, I'm almost at level 50 in fotm with this toon :) PM if you want to run
this build not in organized dungeon grp. and u can remodel it for wvwvw roaming solo i swapped out spiked armor for hammer mastery works very well. they are soon to remake some of the warrior traits so it will be possible 2 make a zerk warrior with the shout heal traits(from what ive heard, might be rumors) imo warriors should deliver the dps since they are pretty much the best class at it and it should be the guardians job 2 keep ur team alive. but yeah final conclusion. this is a good build.
Wow, that's impressive. I will have to see if there are any tweaks to make this build even more effective for WvW. Let me know if you find anything that helps!
I really like this build but I have one question. All the armour has the same stats, same runes, same stat weapons and sigils, same traits. I don't have the ascended backpiece yet, same earrings, and just one of the ascended rings but my healing power is only 312 not sure what I am doing wrong.
WOW, I really want to make a WvW video with it now. Unfortunately I have been out of the PvP loop for about a month. Glad to know it works well in that setting as well! What weapon sets are using for WvW? I suppose Warhorn is necessary in many of the situations presented there.
same build i have i used to have the superior rune of the soldier and that always worked well now i have the god armor of lyssa which i think is fun to use but may not be as practical in some cases though
Could you still use this build with power, toughness, healing power gear and make up for the vitality on the amulets ring etc?, the p/t/v gear is quite expensive atm. thanks for the vid
This build is very similar to a support shout build used in wvw in a zerg. Your tanky enough to be frontline and using hammer to immobilise the other zerg. The good thing about this trait spread is alot of the traits for hammer are in defense so you can just swap traits without retraining traits. The only trait you could use is ten in arms for plus 50% crit chance against disabled foes. This build would alos be good for small man ops but not ideal for solo roaming
I don't use shield because this armor and build combination make you so tanky you that I chose the best weapons for mobility and dps (the greatsword) and ranged damage over time with utility (the longbow); however, this build is not centered on any weapons so you are free to choose any you like :) How has the shield worked out for you? Do you like it in dungeons / fractals?
I think you are right, especially for groups which are not max balanced this appears a good buil/solution, but i wouldn'rt recommend this for a balanced guilgroup! My english is not the best, but i think you also mentioned this fact in the video!
This build looks very promising for running dungeons, I am warrior full berserk and perform not as good in dungeons since I'm too squishy but in WvW no one can 1v1 99% of the time I win and I do big differences when it comes to fight of zergs, how good is this build for WvW?? Can you do a shitload of damage still? or this is more PVE oriented?
I need to change my build up some more. I'm not using Ascended trinkets as I don't have the laurels necessary so I'm using exotics, but I did run into a group of 6-8 people from other team in WvW last night and it took the entire team, albeit most of which were ranged attackers, to take me down while dodging, clearing conditions with my horn and using shouts to heal. Pretty crazy, although like I said no ascended so my Attack and Precision are pretty low currently. This build is crazy tanky. >=D
I'm not sure about what he thinks, but this is close to the SA build ('save adrenaline'). And the g/s's ultimate move is an uppercut, which is one of the worst adrenaline moves ever. So you're more likely to never use that skill, and maintain 3 adrenaline stacks, increasing your ability to regenerate massive health.
This build isn't centered around a particular weapon so the hammer, sword, or whatever your fancy works just fine. I chose the GS for its mobility. I like being able to get across the map quickly while having a moderately high burst with hundred blades.
Wow that was amazing, im sorta new to this game and even on low lvl as a warrior i have problems with soloing stuff. I mean 2 mobs sure but 3 and you are prolly dead. I thought i had to change to my Guardian to feel survival but this actually looks fun :)
This is a very new-player friendly build. You die very little and contribute to the sustain of your team. Give it a try! I will be posting a more DPS oriented build this week though if that playstyle interests you more.
I'm level 15 with my guardian, it seems as though my warrior at 5 is already almost as tanky with nearly the same hp... I like guardian, but I like dual-wield and survivability and leadership kind of skillset, so what would you suggest?
I think a lot of people underestimate their professions. I made a tank Mesmer in one of my other videos. You just have to think outside the box and try something other people aren't doing :) Let me know if you come across any other builds that are innovative!
This build is specifically for keeping you and a 5 man party alive in fractals and dungeons. I would NOT recommend it for WvW. I will try to post a WvW spec soon, however, for those of you who may be interested in that type of gameplay
Guardian is better set with skills to keep a party alive despite what you are doing. Regeneration, wall of reflection, heals, boons, etc. I would stick with the Guardian.
They nerfed dungeon farming in general sadly. Instead of doing a single path over and over again, it is more profitable to do a variety of dungeons and their accompanying paths.
Shouts are particularly suited for PvE. I would not recommend this build in WvW because it will not be able to out-heal or out-sustain the pressure of a zerg. Also it is not very effective in 1v1. If you are going to use soldiers armor, I would take a hammer and Melandru runes to bust up zergs by stun-locking large groups of enemies and having your ranged dps party members nuke them.
You made a comprehensive, and thankfully, short video demonstrating the great aspects of a shout warrior build. Thank you very much for the work you did, it helped me with some concepts that I hadn't approached yet. Great work on the video!

Thanks for sharing! I don't play warrior much in WvW, so it's great to get input from those who do.
Thanks for pointing that out! With the Mesmer I feel like I've exhausted most of the "general" builds. This is a seriously good build. My dungeon experience has changed a lot after I changed into this build. Life got really esasier on fractals too.
I am glad it helped! I'm just trying to spread the build around for other players who want something more tanky to run :)
I see your point. Sometimes it can be troublesome to find 2 guardians for fractals though when you're in the 40+. I posted this build since warrior is the most common class, and was showing people that they had options to run high level fractals even if they want to stick on their warriors.

You brought me back into the game with this build, and now I want to play again. (subbed)
Thanks for sharing this build man , you saved my life in dungeons . I used to be a glass cannon now i can pretty much facetank most of the stuff.
where did u go reborn? Ever gonna post more vids? enjoy ur vids hope u come back :)
I haven't been playing Guild Wars quite as much lately, but I'm considering playing again soon! Are there any other games you would want me to make videos of in addition to Guild Wars?
Reborn Reality Dayz
Check out my newest video - a DPS, might stacking warrior build.

I'm sure one of the 200+ people that liked this build will be more than happy to go with me :) Happy fractal running mate!

Norn cultural armor can be purchased in Hoelbrak for 120 gold per set.

I guess there's no problem with weapon sets, because most of the sinergy of the build comes from the shout skills; also, that answers your question, this is pretty much a shout build.
I will posting updates to my builds since the new meta rebalanced the classes and added new heals to the game for each one.
Reborn Reality Hey, I'm about to start playing GW2 and you seem to be quite knowledgeable about the game, and it would be cool to be able to based myself off of your advice, but it seems like you never uploaded the updated builds and I was wondering if you were going to do that anytime soon? There are no addons for GW2, check your option menu. ESC -> General Options -> "Show Skill Recharge", you'll want to check that box.
My pleasure! Let me know how your build turns out. I'm always looking to improve the ones I have!
Thanks for your input, my friend :) I appreciate any constructive criticism I can get. And your English is very easy to understand
I have been playing warrior since game came out. I haven't played in two months due to technical issues. I love tanking with my warr especially since most guardian players think only other guardian can tank due to the healz and condition removal. This build just shows how little some people know about warriors.
Yes, you still get good survivability plus more damage. Mixing Clerics might be a good choice as shouts got a healing buff today (10-15-2013)
Your mesmer look soooo badass!!
Paying close attention to this video. Finally got warrior to level 80 and need guidance.
What I use 6/0/0/6/2 I use the same method for shouts but I go with greatsword damange instead of the toughness route. the last 2 are for warrior's sprint. Dude your Mesmer looks sick, can to tell me what dye the blue is? i assume the others are Cele and abyss ? Cheers

Guild Wars 2 - Level 80 Warrior Guide (Invincible)
Regen food and you became a regeneration god haha, thanks for reminding me. I never mention food in my videos, but I guess I should.
Awesome, thanks for a quick reply too! But, they're no good at soloing so far, are they good later?
It is, but going full berserker is best with people you know. This build is so you can pug with anyone in all of the dungeons.
Oh man! I must have missed that. I get so focused when I'm recording for build.
WOW, I really want to make a WvW video with it now. Unfortunately I have been out of the PvP loop for about a month. Glad to know it works well in that setting as well! What weapon sets are using for WvW? I suppose Warhorn is necessary in many of the situations presented there.
This build is just awesome! I love it.
same build i have i used to have the superior rune of the soldier and that always worked well now i have the god armor of lyssa which i think is fun to use but may not be as practical in some cases though
Do a shart build next!
for my weapons i have longbow and axe/sword combo that lets me do burn dmg and put on fire shield with leap skills
If you want to tank while steal putting up respectable damage, this build is a good option to consider :)
nice vid man! I'm going to run this on my lvling warrior and just build this as he levels he is lvl 57 now so should work out well.
Could you still use this build with power, toughness, healing power gear and make up for the vitality on the amulets ring etc?, the p/t/v gear is quite expensive atm.
thanks for the vid
can you do your thief guide as well? i feel like im doing it wrong when playing as a thief as i cant do high burst damage like how normal thief can
This build is very similar to a support shout build used in wvw in a zerg. Your tanky enough to be frontline and using hammer to immobilise the other zerg. The good thing about this trait spread is alot of the traits for hammer are in defense so you can just swap traits without retraining traits. The only trait you could use is ten in arms for plus 50% crit chance against disabled foes.
This build would alos be good for small man ops but not ideal for solo roaming
would u happen to have a good pve solo build for warrior with good survivabilty/dps i cant figure out a good one
My english is not the best, but i think you also mentioned this fact in the video!
remember he wrote in the description Not having a guardian in your party can be a pain lol- so quit leaving my Guardian solo
Tell us what that armor is on your mesmer.
It looks so cool.
@district9Z if you are talking about the armor you can't get it for norn it's human cultural.
i fucking love it how this warrior looks :,)
I need to change my build up some more. I'm not using Ascended trinkets as I don't have the laurels necessary so I'm using exotics, but I did run into a group of 6-8 people from other team in WvW last night and it took the entire team, albeit most of which were ranged attackers, to take me down while dodging, clearing conditions with my horn and using shouts to heal. Pretty crazy, although like I said no ascended so my Attack and Precision are pretty low currently. This build is crazy tanky. >=D
hi reborn reality,i have questions, why u are using the G/S? can i use hammer instead g/s ? what about sword ?
I'm not sure about what he thinks, but this is close to the SA build ('save adrenaline'). And the g/s's ultimate move is an uppercut, which is one of the worst adrenaline moves ever. So you're more likely to never use that skill, and maintain 3 adrenaline stacks, increasing your ability to regenerate massive health.
This build isn't centered around a particular weapon so the hammer, sword, or whatever your fancy works just fine. I chose the GS for its mobility. I like being able to get across the map quickly while having a moderately high burst with hundred blades.
" does this one still work ?" - Wit bat
what armor do you have on your mesmer and what dyes are you using
Wow that was amazing, im sorta new to this game and even on low lvl as a warrior i have problems with soloing stuff. I mean 2 mobs sure but 3 and you are prolly dead. I thought i had to change to my Guardian to feel survival but this actually looks fun :)
hey can i use this build for WvW and PvP too and which food to use
ty
This is a very new-player friendly build. You die very little and contribute to the sustain of your team. Give it a try! I will be posting a more DPS oriented build this week though if that playstyle interests you more.
Hehe, I don't play the game anymore. But the channel's great, have fun!
I'm level 15 with my guardian, it seems as though my warrior at 5 is already almost as tanky with nearly the same hp... I like guardian, but I like dual-wield and survivability and leadership kind of skillset, so what would you suggest?
Is this still a viable build with the Sept feature pack being now live?
thanks so much! i was looking for a good build for warrior
It's such a great song.
Also if you used regen food you'd have even more regen, great build.
I am new to this game and i was wondering if a dual weild mesmer is viable for pve and if you could make a video for it plz repond thx
You're taking a PVT Healing shout warrior for fractals?
Wow. I'm glad you included your character name so I never group with you when pugging.
what's better for Healing/Buffing? Support Tank Warrior or Support Tank Guardian?
guard
Why no shield in this build? Wouldn't it help a great deal? Just curious
Yeah might as well use a hybrid warrior with good dps and sustain as opposed to a full berserker guardian.
I don't, but it's all pretty much Two Steps from Hell. They make the best soundtracks :)
I am happy you got some use out of it :)
Would this work with my Charr warrior with sword and shield, or should I switch to great sword?
I use dual axes now. Will that be good?
greatsword;)
Do you play wvw? It would be interesting to this build on the battlefield :D
Is this still viable with the power tuned into precision? Cause I think the gear is changed
Yes, it should still be viable :)
Anyone know the name for the music track/tracks that are playing in the background?
Song is called "Flying Home" from the movie "Kickass"
For the gameplay at least. I think all other songs were just part of the GW2 soundtrack.
013Mindfreak Thanx
would you say this is a good leveling build ?
Hey, May I ask what colour dye you are using on your armor?
Could be Celestial White
Zax is correct, "Celestial" dye
You sir have earned yourself a sub :)
:) shouts got a buff today, so this build is even stronger than when i posted this video
