This is the best designer Gardener I have seen on youtube, he literally explains everything and talks about all the design bits which in turn helps keep gardeners like us who want to do stuff for their own garden.. so thank you so much for this.
Beautiful tasteful design. What pleasure your clients must get every time they look out at their gorgeous garden and how it has delighted us the humble viewers. Well done🐜🐞🕷🏅🏆
Wonderful video, your clients must be over the moon! I especially appreciated the way you have painted part of the floor to separate two areas of the garden - very clever use of color to create an illusion rather than use a physical structure such as door or a frame etc. What a work of art!
Love this urban garden. The design is appropriate and restrained with touches of boldness like the teal feature wall and the Corten steel wall. Great work!
Perfect combination of materials and colours. Love the fencing and contrasting pavers. Im looking to build a white hamptons style pavilion/bar and think itll look great against this swatch and my lush plants and palm 🌴
Please can you tell me what’s the beautiful tree you have in the middle centre bed? I have a north facing garden and am finding it hard to find plants or trees that will work. Your garden design are just stunning!
How beautiful is this garden, very inviting, cheerful, brilliant balance of colors and materials. Does anyone know what kind of climber is that, Jasmine? and the palm next to bench, what kind of palm is that? I have seen indoors palms like that but not ourdoors.
That's a lovely design both in terms of hard and soft landscape, however there is a hell of a lot of work there with all the herbaceous perennials when its time to lift and divide. Top job though.
this is just beautiful. Can you suggest how could I cover my window space - 7 feet high to hide my neighbourhood kitchen backdrop. The length of the window is 30 feet. These have to be indoor plants/trees as its north facing with less sun.
"a taste of the Mediterranean with these three cypress trees" lol at this point those cypress trees are more American than anything else. No American suburb is complete without them. Loved the rest of it though!
Wow I definitely need someone to wave this kind of magic wand in my garden...Just to get an idea, what is the price range of a garden like this? Be helpful in figuring out a realistic budget, and saving for it!
Paul brown it looks like an olive tree to me. I grow an olive tree in my garden in the Midlands and it survives our winter quite well. You need a very sheltered spot.
@@TheDistinctiveGardener Sorry to bother you again, but that lovely short border plant that looks a bit like sage or thyme with waxy leaves, that lines the edges of the centre and hydrangeas, do you happen to know the name of it too?

I'm an old English cottage gardener and I expected not to like the results but I do! can tell that you're into gardening! Nice pops of colour too!
As soon as my ship comes in ....I will most definitely....be calling on DISTINCTIVE GARDEN DESIGN.
Absolutely brilliant implementation....bravo!
Beautifully designed. I'm always impressed with your extensive knowledge and brilliant use of plants.

These videos make me think of the Rosemary and Thyme series😊
Perfect combination of materials and colours. Love the fencing and contrasting pavers. Im looking to build a white hamptons style pavilion/bar and think itll look great against this swatch and my lush plants and palm 🌴
Any garden will do. All plants are just awesome
I just have two words, “Absolutely Beautiful”. ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely, I like how low maintenance it is.

This is a good use of the space with the appropriate plants
Beautiful creation for such a small garden

Beautiful garden
You r so talented! Loved the garden
Lovely garden 😚
Hi - can you let me know the exact colour / make of the paint? Which one is it as it’s lovely. Love all of the gardens. Best I’ve seen on YT.
Wonderful gardens. Could you do a programme on best lighting and positioning of these lights?
Love this garden, and the channel! Would you be able to share which supplier you use for the pots / planters in your designs?
Wonderful!!!! well done, love it!

True, but most of the garden is hardscaped and the limited amount of perennials means not too much work.
Mr James recognise my name?? You tutored me at nescott. Hope your well and I wana say a huge thank you for all you taught me 🙏🏻🙏🏻😁😁

Very nice 👍 really appreciate if you can add the link for metal screen you have used in this garden..
You can have it custom made by your local metal work craftsman.
Great design, where did you get the paver from and what is the name of it?
Marble composite. Susceptible to staining, so better treat it with a non-slip coating.
Love this garden

'Lollypop' or standard bay leaf trees are one of many alternatives if you want to get away from cypress.
nice little creation
This gorgeous

Love the host stily plus he is so hansome
Amazing🌿
What stain did you use on the wooden fence?
I read that silver birch require full sun/partial shade. But north facing wouldn’t be appropriate for then because they’d have no sun. No?
What is the colour on the fencing ? I love it ...I have this fencing and would love to do it that colour...beautiful garden...
A brown tone. Walnut, oak, something like that.
That wall color is NOT emerald green. It is pretty though.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT SINGLE BIG TREEE NEAR THE SHED PLEASE.
Paul brown it looks like an olive tree to me. I grow an olive tree in my garden in the Midlands and it survives our winter quite well. You need a very sheltered spot.
Hello can such big birch thrive on planters?
Will the Cycas have to be brought in doors over the winter?
Not in London, where temperatures are a little warmer. You can fleece them, but they are quite hardy
@TheDistinctiveGardener thanks for the reply, love the videos keep them coming.👏
that is beautifull
Sorry Bloak, I live in Canada so the help would be appreciated.
Hi Paul, you may mimic the design with plants suited for your local area.
What the fence color?
He didn't mention the type of hedging used in the small calming garden of flowers...
Boxwood or Buxus sp.
Not boxwood. Euonymus. Sorry.
What is the name of the tree species in the center section?
European Olive
@@TheDistinctiveGardener Thank you, it's beautifully trained!
