I understand why wearing white is "the bravest." White is the shirt that is most susceptible to having stains due to squirts from sauces, oils, food particles, droppings, drink spillage. And accidents DO happen. If ever that happens @rion, (I hope not) please do us the favor not to change your shirt. LOL! 😁
Very helpful and informative video of Shinjuku. That kobe beef burger looked meccha oishii! And the best tip of the day - where to go for the cleanest restroom/toire in the area! 😂👍. Thanks for braving the heat and humidity to bring us another great video. Keep them coming! Ooh ooh it’s gonna be a good day… Blessings and Gaoos, Rion!

OMG! The piano that I’ve been wanting to see in person because it has the artwork of Yayoi Kusama ❤ Also, at 22:27 my heart skipped for a few seconds because I thought he was Suga of BTS 😆 Even my mom also thought he was him 😂 Anyway, thanks again for another video, Rion! And we can’t wait to see your upcoming travel videos! Have a safe travels going back to Osaka and Let’s Keep Walking! 👍 Take care and God bless! 😊

Thank you for this enjoyable walk in Shinjuku!😊 I can imagine myself having a relaxing day at Shinjuku Gyoen. Oh, that must be a good meal of yummy kobe beef burger and soft ice cream! A view of the city from atop the government building observatory was great!
This was a great walk through Shinjuku on a beautiful, sunny summer day. Your Kobe beef burger looked meccha oishi. I want to try it one day. Shinjuku Garden was utsukushii. I want to visit there, too. Glad to know you're heading back to Osaka soon to make more videos. Tanoshimidesu. Arigatougozaimasu, Rion. 👍
Great, let everyone know which side of Kabukicho Godzilla Street is safe👍, Kabukicho Tower is indeed a great place, 7:35 the waiter at was scared by Rion😄, this Kobe beef burger is so attractive to me, and garlic sauce , I really want to eat it😋🍺, Kobe beef meat imported from Japan in my country is of course expensive, the Kobe beef burger sold in our country is not expensive, about 1500 JPY but I think better go to Japan to eat fresher ones😄. The weather is too hot, and the soft serve ice cream melts quickly😧! 16:10 🌴🦦😄👍👏! 21:25 So cute ☺️! 23:19 ~G🦁Ö~🤝. 28:09 😆🤣👏 ! Shinjuku! Nice! Yes, we called it soft cream (Jap katakana translation "Softo") or soft serve for Japanese ice cream 😆Really need to try the wagyu burger next trip! Looks so delicious! Tk you for Shinjuku virtual tour, that's helpful :)
13:10 Hi Rion, I visited Japan every year and this the same IKEA i went last January 2023. Which i bought IKEA blue color donut just 200 and hot coffee. Soft ice during winter 2023 i still remember with strawberry flavor. Your video make me more stay memorable. For sure will return to Japan next January 2024. Looking foward more fun and happy edited video from you.
Love your videos, thanks! Have you done a video in Daikanyama? When I was in Japan in 2019 I enjoyed that area. Would be fun to see it again in your videos!
Shinjuku holds the sweetest spot for me among all the cities/wards of Tokyo. I stayed for a year in Chofu and Shinjuku was the main hub of the train lines coming from the west part of Tokyo, i.e. Keio and Keio Sagamihara. I love the east part of Shinjuku station. I think that is where the traditional (small streets with small restaurants) and the modern Shinjuku meet (Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bldg), Takashimaya and Kinokuniya Main store. Thank you for featuring Shinjuku!
Omg that burger looked super yummy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. This guide was perfect because I always heard how complicated Shinjuku is. Loved your local Japanese toliet advice 😂 everyone needs a comfy place to go when that moment hits 🤣
I appreciate that you put all of this Shinjuku guide together. Thank you, Rion! Another helpful guide for an aspiring solo traveler like me (going this autumn) and Shinjuku is my choice of my hotel location since it's very convenient.
What a great and interesting walk in Shynjuka showing to the audience many aspects of the city from all the sides in and out. I have really got the total idea of it in a virtual form. As for me your lunch meal - the Shynjuku park and the free observatory at the municipal building were the highlights of the video but I enjoyed it as a total, too. I envy you for being capable of walking and filming under such hot and humid weather conditions. Here we currently have another hot wave and I am barely leaving my home - if so and necessary only during the morning. Looking forward to your Osaka stay and new videos from Kansai region. GAAOO!!.
Will be going to Tokyo and staying in Shinjuku, next to the Shake Shack. Good to see what’s around there. Thx for the tour Rion. Got to try that burger!
Hello Rion. We are watching this fun video now. The food and beer 🍺 look delicious. You mentioned the cost. Here in Southaven Mississippi the cost might be a little more. My friend is from New York and says it would be double the price.
How I miss Gigo Kabukicho as we went there last June for 2 days - consecutively and won so many prizes in their crane games. 😊 Thanks for your vlogs around Shinjuku, Rion san. We just followed your instructions to Don Quijote/Toho as exits in Shinjuku Station are so confusing! 😅
OMG, this was my home (south shinjuku) this past 2 weeks of June-July. Now Im back in the US. Bittersweet feeling! I used to hangout alot on that penguin square, shop a bit at Takashimaya and Newoman; get coffee at Starbucks; then take the train downstairs to Kamakura and to Mt Fuji. Oh how much I wanna go back there. Japan is so beautiful!
So helpful, thanks! Our family is travelling to Japan in December (4 of us, including 2 older teenagers). We've booked a cute-looking apartment in Shin-Ōkubo 🙂, I hope that's what the area's called - it's about 3 minutes walk from that station heading east. I think it's got a lot of Korean places.
I am about halfway through the video; First, we have a Kinokuniya in my city (Portland, OR), it opened a few years ago. Has a variety of Japanese and English books and things. I got my Japanese language textbooks there. Secondly, ソフトクリーム in English is "Soft Serve", an English lesson for a Japanese lesson! ありがとううう
Rion the drink that came with burger is the soda free refill? I know some place it’s not I’m staying at century hotel in Shinjuku station in August. Mite try that burger place.

My friend in Netherland told me that we are ALL saying IKEA wrong 😅 It’s supposedly Eeh-Keh-Ah and not 👁️ Kia. Also from Portland, Oregon USA, a burger w/ fries and a pint of beer can easily cost you $20 already. We are staying in Shinjuku & your video is super helpful. Hopefully we’ll be able to run into you filming :)
Hi Rion, which part of Shinjuku (north, east, south, west) would I stay if I want want to be close to izakayas, ramen, gyoza, food, don quijote, beer, pachinko and night life including red light? Thank you!
Hi Rion, I’ll be visiting Japan Tokyo soon and will be staying in Shinjuku. If I take the train to and from Haneda airport, are there lift access at the Shinjuku station from the platform to ground level? Or are there a lot of stairs to navigate?
Probably no one would hurt, but sometimes there are many drunk people, or some “under the influence” people, so most likely would not be good for kids education🤔
