@@randywissler9923 I've heard that theory, and it's interesting to consider, but I can't see it. First, Cap puts way too high a premium on honesty (and correctly so) to lie for such petty purposes, and especially to his friends. He's also the ultimate tactician, and not utilizing an ability like being able to use Mjolnir in the battle against Ultron would have cost lives. Cap's not gonna do that for any reason. Finally, I think the idea undermines a crucial part of Steve's character development, which is handled really well in "Endgame", ie. his determination to stick to his principles even in the face of adversity (which is the only time principles really matter. As Jon Stewart put it, if you only have values when it's convenient, you don't have values; you have hobbies). Cap's bloodlust in the beginning of "Endgame", which is played well for an applause line ("Let's go get this son of a bitch"), is actually a real problem. As with Thor, it's only after Steve is ultimately tested that he becomes worthy.
Remember, Vision is a newborn. He hasn't had time to become corrupted by the mendacity of humanity. So, every intention he has at this moment is pure, therefore making him worthy by the definition of a good man as stated by Odin.
Age of Ultron got a lot of criticism from fans, but honestly, it was a very good movie. The main criticisms that I think have weight are that Ultron was a one-and-done villain that felt under utilized, but that's not something that the writers of this movie could really help.
