      $880 won’t pay for a person to live hardly anywhere. And especially not if you have a 10 and a 5 year old.
      He is a football coach. Since he got it on with a cheerleader hopefully he is a college football coach. Just saying. Though college teachers are not supposed to fraternize with college students either. Just saying, again.
      She isn’t a “gold digger”. Seems she has as little common sense as her ex. He wanted a reduction “just because” he has knows other parents who don’t pay any child support and still see their kids a lot. He didn’t know himself that he wouldn’t have to pay it anymore after she took them out of state without permission. Notice, he did ask if he could keep her from taking the kids out of state. He couldn’t in this particular court but he could have asked the judge how to proceed.
      He cares about his kids but I think he thinks this will free up a lot of time for him. Every weekend. Adult play time!

He just tried to go along as peacefully as possible and will get unsupervised in a couple months but if you speak up more and show passion and love for your kids and she doesn’t have a legitimate reason to request supervised visits there is no reason why you should have to. Keep fighting! Your kids need you especially if their mother is doing things like that trying to get at you instead of doing what’s best for her children which is to see their father. They will hold that against her when they get older if she doesn’t change, trust me my mom did that to me and my sister and that is why no matter what issues I have with my kids dad I would never talk bad about him or keep them from him if there is no justified reason such as their safety.

      @valiantsfelinesmccarty6678 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think she thought about adding a little extra to that 800 because oh it's so expensive to live in Florida I don't need more money see a lot of the child support in most states it's a percentage of the cost of living for the family and the child support is supposed to help pay for the cost of the child living in the home as well as for the extra things a child needs. They do not expect the parent to provide all of the rent utilities etc. They give them a percentage how many people are living in the how many other children are living in the who else is providing income in and then that's the percentage they'll get when a woman goes through another divorce she has to go back in and ask for more money because she no longer has that percentage in her income that's how it happens now out here California

      Nothing was mentioned about HOW she will become a marine biologist. If she has the credentials I'm almost certain he would know about it, especially since they met in college.
      She IS still obviously hurt/angry about him cheating. She has a right to be upset. He even acknowledged his mistake. But there is no reason to drag the kids into an adult situation. A 5 & 10 y/o do NOT need that much information. They just need to know that their parents are no longer able to live together but that both parents still love their kids.

After I returned from my husband's funeral my ex-husband was waiting on me to make sure I was ok.) He asked me, "What can I do for you?" All I could manage to say was, "I could really use a hug." Amen! I could never have moved my daughter away from her father like that! He didn't even pay child support because it wasn't as important to me as his presence in her life. In fact, when I bought a house and moved only an hour away from him, I made it a point to opt to provide the transportation to and from her visitations with her dad about 75% of the time. I also worked with him for holidays so we could both be able to have her at our family gatherings when they were being held. I wish parents could set aside their hurt feelings and anger and think instead about how your relationship with one another will affect the children the most. You just gotta swallow that pride and pain and put that child's needs and best interests before your own!

    What's funny is that the court WOULD have given her permission had she of done things right because she is improving her and the children's lives. Just taking off can get you in a world of hurt.
    My ex up and moved to Florida (from Michigan) with my 2 children and their older sister. My youngest ended up being murdered by the "new boyfriend" because she was crying when mom went to the store. He put a pillow on her face (6 months old) to muffle the crying and she suffocated. I brought both of my daughter home to bury her near family and then got custody of my older daughter and guardianship of the older sister in order to keep them two together.
    Mom was charged with parental kidnapping because she left the state with the kids without either my or the courts permission.
    My two girls are now mothers themselves, both with husbands in the military. One of which is 4 years from retirement (yes, it's been that long). To this day, they do not talk to their mother who has since created a new family and abandoned those kids as well for another man.

I would have continued to pay child support after she moved to Florida, and then I would have filed with the court about a reduction in child support due to her moving to Florida - and my visitation was essentially ended because of the move unless it was through Face Time. Why does a 5 year old need a cell phone? None of my 4 kids had a cell phone until they were in high school. The oldest didn't have one until he was out of college.

      He's still paying health insurance and she's picking up a job that's good enough to move across half the country... Clearly there's gotta be a trade off to compensate for his transportation and car rental which he might want to do weekly/bi weekly. That's hundreds a week in costs

      At least that's the rational argument to consider this ruling fair. Personally think shes lying about the new gig like most here

    This is why your custody papers need to include a radius clause. Preventing the female from moving a certain amount of miles away from the father. Normally it’s 20 miles. You’re entitled to that gentleman and all you have to do is ask for it and then stand your ground on it. The courts will not rule against you in most cases.
    Know your rights, gentlemen!
