Love the solid color. No distressing. Beautiful! Distressing is kinda nice but it will become unpopular eventually and clean lines are always beautiful. From the beginning of furniture painting smooth clean lines have always been good. People distress to make something look antique. Love this beautiful piece you did!

Most beautiful job you did on this piece. Those recessed arch area on drawers and recessed rectangle area on top drawer are perfect for one of your creative raised stencils or some decoupage.
Hello Kacha....again I Just want to Thank you thank you thank you for Showing ur videos in Slow motion and real time and not Always speeding up as a beginner the biggest part that scares me is leaving brush strokes when I'm not wanting the brush strokes on some pieces and alot of artists speed up their video most times (and I totally understand that they're just not wanting to bore the viewer..so I do Totally understand why) ..however as for me...I am still learning and I NEED to Be able to See how you're creating such beautiful furniture .so this helps me Tremendously....so again I thank you....many blessings 🤗❣️

I just recently purchased a sample of Jolie Paint after my local stockist explained how/why they were phasing out Annie Sloan😞, but she said she really liked the Jolie Paint and the quality was excellent since it was being produced by the same company who produced Annie’s line. I used my Dremel polishing kit on my antique hardware and it cleaned up beautifully! Although guilding wax would have done the trick easier lol! Maybe I should use it anyway? This way they will be protected from future wear and tear? I looked online for replacement pulls and knobs and they were so expensive! $20 for a single drawer pull!

Only the flaks that I can melt in alcohol. Could this be an alternative? The shop owner says that Rustoleum chalk paint (this is the only one we can find here) will not stick to shellac. I have a french old buffet with lots of details and inspired by your amazing videos I really want to paint but afraid to make a mistake. The buffet is alreay coated with old chellac but when I painted a small part to see what will happen it bleeds. Thank you ❤

Yes it can! I recommend looking into Rustoleum transformations kit for kitchen cabinets from home depot! Ive used it before with great results on kitchens!

Brush strokes are part of the natural texture of this type of paint! But for a smooth finish this video shows the best way, with a fine grit sand paper! Thanks for watching!
I’m going to be chalk painting my 7 year old daughter’s dresser and side table in the next month. This will be my first time painting any furniture! I see you always use wax but then I see other people using polyurethane. Why do some use wax and others don’t? Also since I will probably not be painting any other furniture in the house with the color I’m going to use which will be a teal color should I go with Waverly brand from Walmart since it’s cheap and in a small container?
I would totally suggest you practice before to get used to Chalk Paint! Waverly is just fine, although I do not like their Wax. I would suggest a better clear wax then waverly. Also Polyurethane protects better but can yellow light colors over time. I prefer the look wax gives Chalk Paint!

I would look for any products that stop bleed through that you can purchase. I’m not sure. Sometimes primer can work for that, sometimes not!

Cleaning cleaning and more cleaning! Thats about all you need to do to prep for Chalk Paint!
How often do you need to reapply gold wax to handles? I assume it wears off.
I have never had to re apply it yet. I imagine it depends on the usage!
