A smart telescope that you have to physically move by hand. Why does it not have a go-to feature within the app like a lot of smart telescopes that are on the market at the moment??
My Hawuei p30 attached to a Skywatcher Startravel 120mm Refractor AZ3 Telescope with no tracking takes similar photos of the Orion Nebula that are in this video
Thanks for the review, you have provided me with the only information I can find on the web at this time on how to use my new telescope. I would love some more videos helping us to get some deep space object photos and manually stacking using some external package. Are the individual photos in my photo app from the hestia already stacked? Do I have the raw images to stack? Can I take a series of single images and keep repositioning the Hestia and manually stack these. Thanks so much and looking forward to more info on using this since I’m somewhat lost and Vaonis has provided very little info - never evening mentioning they use plate solving and what to do if you keep getting failure messages. Very poor documentation’s or tutorials from Vaonis
The DWARF 3 is due out in September and is roughly the same price ( actually it is cheaper on pre-order) It has a lot more features and will have mosaic mode, stacking , built processing ( which you can fine tweak of course in post) built in noise removal and Tracking, its also relatively the same size. I’m not saying don’t buy Hestia, but for around the same price, the DWARF 3 will be much better value I think ( and will give much better results).
Hi, great video! I just receive my Hestia but I’m having problems while using the Timelapse option as I’m not getting the photos of the timelapse and it looks like I have to click the button every time that I want a picture, making it really difficult as the Hestia moves when I click the phone 🫣 Do you have some tips? 😌
I have a google pixel phone. how well does this work with for example the pixel astrophotography mode. and what about using telescopic lense through the viewfinder?

Seems like for $400, the Dwarf 2 or the Seestar would be a better deal.
See star is the best deal
Exactly. The s50 is SO much better for just a tad more money…
Was just thinking the same thing. This thing seems far to wonky compared to the seastar
Hmm. Yep.
Thank you for this review! I was looking for what to expect from the app and couldn't find a lot of details anywhere else, and this helped a ton!

dwarf 3 is about 449 I think
It's not cheaper
I think the seestar is best for lunar and solar.

how close can it get to jupiter? are there lens attachments to make it able to zoom in closer?
Is there a time lapse feature for photos? So I could watch eclipse over time?
It's a moon lens. Nothing more. Overpriced af
How well does this telescope view Mars?
Excellent review. I see great possibilities.
Really? I see a lot of money for very little hardware, especially compared to the dwarf 2 or (even better) the seastar s50…
Why are we pretending that earth doesn’t rotate and that without a tracker it’s gonna be difficult to keep objects in field of view
Which iphone 14 camera is the best to use with the hestia?
Whoa, whoa. You get to planet mode and don’t show any of the final captured images of Saturn? This makes me assume that this mode is not so great.
well not even the dwarf was made for planetary imaging though the D3 in september will show otherwise.

Get a dwarf 2 or better a seastar s50, and thank me later…
i can see two things
people will mod this mini telscope to slap bigger lenses for sure
and god forbid i hope influensers do not find out about it
