As an old Brit Countryman who started out with the 'soro SS many moons ago, your channel is a breath of fresh air for me. This, is what Metal Detecting is really about, in my opinion. The love of nature, history, and the need to know. I have many "great" finds, accrude over the years: big deal, so what. It's the love of solitude in nature and the finding of say, a tiny bronze bead amongst the nails that lays me back and gives pause for taking in the real pleasure of what it means to be 🤔"not a treasure hunter". THIS is proper metal detecting. Great job.
Charlie when I watch your Video adventures I seen attitude and positivity .ATTITUDE Nothing is going to stop you from finding something/And you are always in a positive mood that you are going to find some relics/What makes for a great day to watch your videos/
ooohh!! the bottle! no markings!? cans, a pail.. can hear faint men's voices- 'John, watch out for the briers!' 'Beans are ready!' the nails from keep out signs or marking trees!? I enjoyed another hike!
@@Stefan-wd9uv He started the Not Thursday for the purpose of more then detecting. His sponsorship is for the detectors only. No cash changes hand. That allows him full control to do what he likes. He is quite an area historian and researcher for the colonial era.
Might want to pay more attention to your shotgun willies. They can easily be dated due to extensive online sites, believe it or not. Could give you insight to age of a place.

I can't imagine going detecting day after day after day and finding so little. Nothing but absolute junk! Who could get excited over corroded buttons and suspender clips.? I would find better places or give up.
@@steverettew2590 My friends and I are doing very well, finding coin, rings, etc. You know, things that are actually worth something. But thanks for the advice!
@@skyroot8529 That's absolutely true! But you have to, at least, occasionally catch (find) something to encourage you to continue. I don't see that here.

😃🤝 I thought that accent sounded familiar. Born in Plymouth, grew up in Groveton, Cannan, Gilford, back to Plymouth...
Enjoyed 👍
Yes glad with final finds
Well you didn't get skunked. A little something at least.Good exercise too.
there has got to be a great pile of 1930s beer cans out there somewhere
Lots of old roads and bypasses
A great finale to a wonderful week of Not Thursday
@Charlie...@ 8:53 your screen shows an item in the upper left hand area; almost looks like a cinch buckle or something??
Lets go Charlie 😊
You should get yourself a garden weasel instead of that little shovel they're pretty cool
Nice video
Ever notice when something has been stripped sharp, pointy things replace it. I guess it is natures scab to protect a wound.
Most of that land in this episode has been lost to time.
Have you ever considered a Deus2 or Deus 2 WS6, which easily fits in a backpack and is an awesome detector to boot?
you get the detectors he uses are sponsored
@@tinman7130 That's a good reason.
He would find alot more, but being sponsored makes these frequent trips probably even possible, we still enjoy the exploring

10:55 😹 a ring pull that was casually, thoughtlessly popped and discarded half a century ago. The definition of trash today treasure in the future
I lasted until 7:49 and couldn't stand the hand waving and trying to figure out who the video was going. Sorry
@@earlhunt8271 a very boring attempt
Holy crap man!!
I about missing this one😬

When I was first starting to go fishing an old man said to me , If you think fishing is just about catching fish you won't last long ! 😎
But it’s a great nature walk!
