If there's a cybersecurity course for CourseCareers, this is my first time hearing of it. Congrats on the position though! I just got a technical support job that's remote recently to help build the resume further while pursuing this and learning more about what it takes to do cloud engineering since that's what the course you took was geared towards. I'm guessing cybersecurity course you were referring to was Josh's own from his platform which isn't at all with CourseCareers. That's a smart move though to go through it to build these little mini experiences for portfolio items. It doesn't hurt you and only adds to your chances of getting that better-paying remote position if that's your thing too.
So there use to be a cyber security course on course careers, just like there was customer success on course careers too. Both of those courses are already gone and did not last long.
First off congratulations on your technical support job. I think it's so very much for the kind words. I agree, it doesn't hurt anymore experience via the labs. It only benefit you in the long run, in terms of finding better opportunity in the tech space.
@@jeraldschreiber3056 ah ok. Makes sense. Yah they constantly try new things over there and was a transfer student from the digital marketing course since I personally found it didn't live up to my expectations for what the latest one they just released from the beta being about paid advertisement but no one in that course will ever run real paid ads unless you go out of your way to spend money on it for the sake of experience. That or getting an internship.
Did you need a degree to get your position? and how long did it take to land the role you are in? Ty in advance for replying and congrats! I am looking to get into cyber security as well.
Great Video- Thanks for sharing - How long have you been contracting at this job? and you said it's a voting IT job... Is this a temp job only during the voting season?

No degree was needed and it took me between two to three weeks to land the job.

It's been 2 months at this current contract role. And it is a temporary position meaning after elections the job will be completed.
Nice 🎉@@juiceytech
I am from Pakistan should I enroll for tech sales and maybe look for a remote job in North America or that's just wishful thinking?
I actually think that's a great idea.
What was the course you purchased? And what is your work title?
