    Really useful video, as are all of your Lake shoe overviews - fulfilling a need that you’d expect to be provided by the brand itself rather than a dealer 👍

      Thanks for your comment. The shoe vids made sense as I think a lot of people would be surprised to see the features on lake shoes compared to other brands that just bang an upper on a plate of carbon and call it a cycling shoe!

    Hello dear, i actually have cx238-wide, the fit is good for me, length and width.
    Im thinking to buy cx333-wide now.
    If i go with cx333-wide. Will there be problem at the forefoot (the same problem that i encountered with bont shoes) , im afraid that the carbon sole is round shape at the forefoot, i have wide feet.

    Thanks a lot! I'm still a puzzled by what the difference between CX333 and CX403 is. Is CX403 actually a "better" shoe or are they just different? I've had a pair of CX332 for a long period that worked very well, I'm wondering if there's any point in experimenting with CX403, or just get a new pair of CX333.
    Great that you mentioned the width changes! I had missed that.

    Hopefully to see a vid regarding the differences of CX 333 and 403 (or they will also release a 404)

    Thanks for the video, really useful. How does the toe box compare between the CX332 and CX332 in terms of being more pointy or square? Or are they about the same? Lake sizing came up as a 43 for me, but I found my big toe pinching and rising up on the side of the CX332 and had to opt for the 43.5. Would be great if the CX333 was more square.

    I wanting to purchase the CX333 in a width of 108.8mm (of size regular) so does that mean I need to buy them in narrow? Thanks

    i'm struggling with finding a cycling shoe for months now. ordered the lake cx238 wide in 41: massive heel slip while feeling too small in the front. meanwhile the bonts Riot+ wide pinches at two spots... i have a wide forefoot - need room for my big toe and then a bunion at the outter metatarsal head.
    does anyone have any reco's for me? should I try the heatmolding with the bonts - am afraid it does too little to make the shoe comfortable...

    Hi Dougie, do the leather and clarion feel the same to wear or is one nicer than the other, and do they size up the same? Thanks

    • @dougieshawbikefitter
      @dougieshawbikefitter  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Leather is more supple / for example my shoes are on the smaller side of the range length wise but the leather makes the fit feel great, if I’d gone clario it definitely wouldn’t have felt good, a bit tighter for the same size

      Would you be comfortable sending me a photo of your feet from a top down angle so I can get the full context.
      Off the cuff I would say the Narrow is the best bet

    hi, the cx 332 shoe hurt under my ankle because the edge of the upper was too high. May I know if the CX 333 has the same height? or is it low like the cx 403? Furthermore, I use the Specialized Sworks Torch No. 41.5, which size should I buy? Thank you Stefano

    I have the CX332 extra wide and find the stack height very high. Is this any different in the 333?

    • @dougieshawbikefitter
      @dougieshawbikefitter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the 333 is lower stack because the double sole is gone I don’t have an exact but it’s definitely a few mm

    Hi thanks for the video explaining the fit. I have just got a a pair of CX333 size 41 in regular which I was measured for and then fitted. This included heat moulding the heel. I find the top Boa dial on the right shoe pressing against a bone in my foot mid way down the foot. My right foot is slightly smaller than the left. No issues on the left side. I have only tried the shoes on my indoor bike. Any thoughts?

      Does it help if you push your heel deeper into the heelcup by and doing the ankle boa first?

    Any idea when these will be available on Lakes website? Also these don;t have the carbon side paneling like the CX403s? Just tried on a pair of the 403s and that carbon side paneling is a deal breaker for me but I do like the new boa design.

    • @dougieshawbikefitter
      @dougieshawbikefitter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you mean the side panelling do you mean the bathtub element? The sole stops where you see the upper begin, in the 403 the sole keeps going up - you have to heatmould the 403 otherwise it will never work. The 333 design is definitely way easier to get on with compared to the 403 model for a broader range of foot types.

    • @dougieshawbikefitter

      It totally depends on what’s causing your feet to go numb. Often the shoe only plays a part in it. If you shoot me an email - contact@edinburghbikefitting.com with more context I’ll see if I can help you better.

    What would be the equivalent size if I am good with CX302 wide? Is the CX333 same width as CX302?

    • @dougieshawbikefitter
      @dougieshawbikefitter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, good question. Yes the 333 is the same width but with change in name of the last system you will need to get a 333 in “standard” to have the same size as the 302 in wide

    My biggest problem with the CX333 is that they no longer do the 4-hole speedplay version unless you pay for a 'custom design' shoe.
    Very disappointing.

    Ive s 332 xw 42 and a 238wv 41 the former feels 'cuter' round my foot yet is fine for width but out the box the 238xw is just comfortable end of 👍 - imo putting a boa right at the front would infringe on the toes Lake have yet to make a shoe for the square foot broad are great with Lake but blocky, forget it...
