The first lady seemed like a knowledgeable, likable, and honest person. And the second item, I could envision a local resident displaying that in their foyer in their house located on the edge of Red Rock Canyon park reserve.

This lady rules, she seems to actually understand how businesses work. Both times I've seen her they've brought in an expert and she doesn't just immediately jump all the way up to the price they quote, almost makes it seem like a genuine interaction.

Most museums don't purchase things out right, especially smaller ones. Normally they will get it as a donation, or someone might grant them the money for it. Or sometimes they will hold and display the item giving the owner credit on a plaque or something. This is also done with donations. There are upsides to doing this. The museum will probably take better care of it, cleaning it, restoring it and preserving it. They will insure it in case anything were to happen to it. And more people will see it when it is displayed. And you still own the item. Museums also trade items, move them around and stuff like that too. Zoos do the same thing. You will often see something that says "...is on loan from such and such". Sometime they will purchase things though if it is really important to them.

Fair price for a pawn shop is different than a fair price at an auction or whatever.
No, that is NOT what he said at all. He said he would appraise it at 5900. Appraisals are almost never what something sells for, especially for insurance purposes. Unless he works with dealers, collectors and auction houses and know what something normally goes for or went for in the past he has no idea what something is actually worth on the open market.
Diana seemed like a nice lady I’m glad she at least got a little bit more for the egg than the bear paw even though she wanted less than half the value for the egg anyway 😂😂
