  • In my last motorcycle review I talk about Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber. An interesting custom category motorcycle made by Mandello's manufacturer Moto Guzzi. I took this bike to very famous and awesome road SP 85 from Trento to Bondone. Enjoy :)
    Oh btw. I also recorded the sound of this bike and compared it with V7. Here: • Moto Guzzi V7 vs V9: W...
    I tested the whole range of Moto Guzzi models. All reviews you can find here: • Moto Guzzi - indepdend...
    Some people asks about the clothes I usually wear on the bike. Here it is:
    Leather Jacket - www.scott-spor...
    Jeans - www.scott-spor...
    Shoes - sidi.com/en/pro...
    Gloves - www.scott-spor...
    Technical stuff
    GoPro 6, sometimes Sony A7, sometimes Garmin VIRB 360. Microphone RODE Smartlav+. For sounds of motorcycles I use Zoom Z4N Pro

    Hi there, nice review. I just got my license last week and bought the Bobber partly based on your reviews. The Bobber is a blast to ride. A little getting used to in the corners, but even as a completely new rider you get it soon enough. I just want to ride the Bobber whenever I have the chance. Today I rode from the Netherlands to Belgium in a stormy weather :) I have the black/yellow color of 2016.

    Love that Racer V7 Cafe racer - cruiser. Perfecto. When you feel pain in your wrist you pull over, have another Cino.

    I own the Bobber. The seat is a lot more comfortable when you remove the pilion. It relaxes it.. not as stiff. I decided to go with the more forward pegs, when they were back it hut my knee and hips, you can't hug the tank with your knees anyway.You obviously don't ride Harley's Many of the Sportster models have rear/front 16" wheels, pretty standard.

    Nice review. I chose the V7 III Carbon because it spoke to me and I was looking for a standard with a shaft drive (rare) and without a radiator ruining the look of the bike. I have 950 pleasurable miles on it now.

    I tested a V9 and liked the engine and handling, not so much the design of the fuel tank and seat. I would love a V9 with V7 tank and seat...

    Great review. I watched some V9 videos already but you gave a lot of information that I didn't know yet. Good job! I still prefer the V7 though.

    Very thorough review. Having tested both the v7 and the v9, which one would u suggest to someone who's about to get back in the riding game after a 12-13 year recess (aka a beginner!)? Keep riding and reviewing!

    not enough dealers in the UK! but a gorgeous bike! I think though more people would go for Triumphs Bobber, or possibly their new Speedmaster as both are broadly similar bikes to these V9s the Speedmaster has just been released a few weeks ago! better network of dealers with Triumph! better quality of build I would think as well?

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm I agree with the lack of dealers in some place. However for example in my country - Czech republic, the situation is not that bad. I think that the build quality is in a both examples excellent. None of these bikes on the market for a long time so we don't know much about the really long-term reliability but all the Moto Guzzi I tested looked very solid.

    About the handling. I have a 2019 Bobber Sport and swapped the OEM tires for a pair of Metzeler Cruisetec. It makes a world of difference. Much more sure-footed in corners, more stable on the highway.

    I’m considering buying a 2016 V9 Roamer but am hesitant due to poor sales and unpopularity here in America. Would you recommend it?

    Another good review.
    I like the torque on this bike which kicks in low down. I'd be concerned about reliability, though.

      @JF Motorcycles Once again a great review. which one do you like more? Bobber or V7? And I am sure you get less ;) I lost the last 4 months 11 ;) but I need at least still ~5 more :(

      I now started with kind of a paleo reduction, just eating meat, milk, cheese, vegetables and 1-2 fruits/day, otherwise no carbs at all. First 3-4 days was horrible, I was very weak but now it is ok and you lose fats super quick! Haha, it is not really connected with bikes though.
      I like more V7. I like it has more classic bike look, it is cheaper, I like even the colors of the standard Stone and definitely the room for improvements and mods which is unlimited. Also the ergonomy and comfort on the bike is superb.

    I bought the v9 bobber in black for the same reasons although if there was an 853cc version of V7 stone, rough I'd have gotten that. The only thing I didn't like is the colour schemes, they ruined the silver with the red checkers and the black with the yellow checkers. The 2018 colour schemes are some of the nicest paint jobs I've seen on any bike it's a shame they didn't start that way.

      Well it certainly attract some sort of customers, but it is not my cup of tea really... Next year I will definitely take the new Sport version for an in-depth review so stay in touch and let's see later.

    I like the "Roamer" design better. I think the larger and thinner front wheel will make it handle better. I wonder if you will have a chance to ride the Roamer for comparison?

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mike. In the end I did not have the chance unfortunately :( I tried my best, but the Roamer was always busy. Most of the people really say they liked more Bobber even from the handling point of view, but I would also give Roamer a chance... I like the design more, it is more classic for me with a taste of touring.

      Mike smaller wider wheels always handle better than thinner bigger wheels on the street.
