While chasing down Peppermint, a notorious crook, Lucky Luke finds himself in the little town of Slumberville. There he meets the Reverend Calvin Rightstuff, a mad professor who spends his spare time inventing flying machines. The Reverend being naive, is in seventh heaven when he meets Baldwind Von Flaps, a wealthy foreigner who offers to finance his inventions. Lucky suspects the rich patron to be none other than Peppermint and Lucky keeps close tabs on him. But in order to catch the crook, Lucky is going to have to earn his wings...
