I love mix and match manis! Many moons ago I only wore one color manis; then I graduated to an accent nail on the ring finger. Now it's all about mixing it up!
Great vid! I tend to not celebrate V Day, preferring Mardi Gras 😏. But your set is very pretty. Thank You for sharing! 😊 Question; are you familiar with the new(er?) silicone molds out there lately? If yes, would you consider doing a vid using them? If not, I cannot provide more info. Nother question, regarding cat eye, are you familiar with the double sided magnets that are shaped like a U? I think they are newer, but, maybe they are just revived? Thank You for sharing! 😊 ❤️✌️
Hey beautiful! Like the silicon molds to make custom charms?? I can totally make that happen!! And yes I’ve seen the U cat eye things. I could try to procure that as well! ❤️
@ poifect! (My fake Bronx accent 😂). So it seems to me that there are different kinds of silicone molds. I’ve seen the ones for the charms but they do not interest me as much as those that create almost sticker or decal like results. Varinail has the ones that I am specifying. I got one to do the sweater nail look. Briefly. A color gel is applied to the mold, the excess gel scraped off (with a stamper card as in stamping) then a thin layer of base applied over the color, cure, then lift the finished product off of the mold with tweezers and apply to the nail covered with transfer foil gel. ☺️. Thank you for your willingness to check into these. Not only do you do a great and entertaining job during your vids, but I know that I can trust that you’ve done your homework! All that in addition to the humor and happiness that you bring. 🤗
@ I gave 1 a whirl today and wrote this up, maybe a starting place for you? 1. Make sure that your gel color completely fills the image in the mold. 2. Use a scraper card to remove the excess. 3. Cure in the mold as per your gel’s requirements. 4. Apply a thin layer of clear base gel…especially for designs that are chained together (as in the sweater nail images) as this is what will afford the removal of the entire design in one piece when pulling off the mold. I think, this step may be skipped for single designs? 5. Cure according to base gel requirements. 6. Apply Transfer foil gel where the design will be applied to the nail. Cure according to…7. Let the gel cool then lift from the mold with a good, accurate set of tweezers. 8. Apply Transfer Foil gel to the nail where the design will be applied. Cure according to…9. Apply the design to the nail. Flatten the edges (the clear gel) as much as possible to reduce seeing the border (this is the step that I need to work on perfecting). Apply top coat & cure. I have a photo, but don’t think I can share here.
