Bookworm is my favourite isekai for so many reasons but one of the most is she fails ALL the time even with all her knowledge which makes it feel so much more grounded

its deeper than that, when you read the novels its clear that what makes this story stand out so much is it realistic handling of "culture shock"
we start out at same page a s Myne as we have to lern this world just like she has. meaning that there were many moments i was as suprised as she was when it turnd out that things were not as expected.
Because this is a different culture with different values, and first those values seem barbaric and insanely curl, but once you lern more you undstand why they have those values and how it all mekes senes.
Its always easy to see other cultures as barbaric, and its down to how different cultures have different values of different reasons.
This is what make this series so interesting, the world trully feels alive and its own. not cutting corners with anyting like almos all other fantasy shows tend to do

Bro I almost cried at the end. I know she is technically in her 20’s but man I can’t believe her determination and ability to move past her mistakes.

Only recently got into reading books thanks to this show. Never really noticed that about her love of books affecting her actions though. Really cool to see that.

Her passion for the things she loves is enough to carry her endearing character. Great video!

Your voice is really pleasant and easy to listen to. Together with the bgm and content of this video it makes for a really comfy atmosphere.

I like these videos because it makes me give a chance to animes where only by the poster I wouldn't be interested.

I genuinely enjoyed the video quite a lot! I loved Bookworm for the surprise that it was and felt it was a bit underappreciated, but you captured some of my feelings for it perfectly.

I'm always curious how others view Bookworm, but this is the first one that truly seems to shine a light on Myne's tenacity and determination and how that ties into her love of books. Just another instance of the worldbuilding and characterization tying so well together

Plot twist: Myne is isekai'd into the past and can write a one way message to her original mom using a book.

I love your videos, they always give such a unique insight in things , but I'm getting a bit ticked off by the comment that "she isn't particularly bright," especially when she's compared to a scientist. It makes me sad that "intelligence" is often measured by science knowledge alone. There are many different ways to be a genius-some people have an exceptional talent for languages, music, you name it, while others excel at understanding and dealing with people. She may not be knowledgeable in science, but she is definitely a genius in how to deal with situations, especially in the later season and later books. Not a lot of 30-40 somethings in this world could do that.
Edit: But all in all I think you made a wonderful video about it!

yea, really liked the first season but the second season didn't quite hit that isekai itch for me overall. Although like you said, there were certainly some good moments. Hears to Season 3!

@@watchforever1724 the people she help sure but most of the priest and later the noble are fking annoying. All these discrimination shit bored me to death.
