    So by some otherworldly power "I Need A Hero" started to play. I seemed to flow at first and I figured I'd let it play until it stopped being in sync and then re-watch the video. Never happened. From the moment the two began and up until the song ended and the dance continued they matched perfectly.
    Best timing moment of my life. That was fantastic.

    Beautiful!!!! My grandparents danced tango all through peru and argentina. Ballet and tango is a wonderful marriage. Just try to remember that Tango digs into the floor, it's not "up on your toes". So play around with the choreography so that even though you're on pointe you are still close to the floor. You accomplished this at the end of the piece with all the arabesques. Beautiful. :)

    Wonderful fusion! This version as well as the previous one. And what's more, you rarely even see tango dancers on milongas who interprete the music, they just dance their routines. But you do. That's the point I like most about your dance. :)
    And as for the "too much walking" comment below, Tango IS a walking dance at heart, the rest is adornment. Keep going you two!

    @nAgLiMaNtAs Agreed! It wasn't meant to be a tango, but a ballet with tango touches, so to speak. And it was beautiful!!

  • @mrsalvarez05
    @mrsalvarez05 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    wow! this was way cool. yeah, it was not necessarily tango but it was still a joy to watch and it looks like you guys are enjoying doing the dance and isn't that what dance is all about? it seems some people are getting too technical about the title. just watch and enjoy, that's why it's there.
    and btw: i really like that she goes on pointe throughout the dance. i love love love @1:20.

    @sweetlovewhit And how do you think new dances are created? In the future, thanks to innovation and creativity and just plain guts, there may very well be a genre referred to as "tango ballet." Roll with it, honey....

    i say that this dance is tango?
    no.. so dont say: "So it is not tango anymore at all, it is a choreagraphy"

    Still, maybe one thing that stroke my eye. Maybe you should dance the ochos more tango-like. You step from one side to the other making it look like a bit like a soldier, better just paint the "eight" on the floor with your free foot and keep the foot near the floor. That's smoother and more sensual.

    Great dancing, I see a technical approach to the characters think story. This is the prostitutes dance seduction, flirtation michief making for her. On your parallel walks try adding a smidge of a figure 8 in hips so the walks arent so square. You have someinteresting moments.

  • @noemiech

    i can do a dance on pointe and call it whatever i want... thats the beauty of it... pointe is not ballet

  • @bayareatangos
    @bayareatangos 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    Learn to dance tango! Then you can reclaim it as a ballet. Social Tango is a dance for the partners not the audience, it looks great because the audience can see that the partners are totally focused on each other and the music.
    I don't see improve together. There is no lead and follow -- you may be improving, separately!

  • @goddessoflove4ever
    @goddessoflove4ever 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    lines nice everything beautiful except... it just looks like your dancing. i don't see any togetherness. you aren't letting go enough. by that i mean... its too ballet as in you know in ballet the man is more like support instead of an actual partner. that is what i see support not a partner smile at each other wink make it... sexy. make me want to beg for more senoir make that is what i want to see. merci for ecouter me au voir

    where is the feeling and the passion? she only dances for herself, and whats that between 0:37 and 0:40? its so unnatural... both of you have nice skills and all but too cold for tango, and she looks like a classical dancer a kind of ballet mix >=( ... nice dance performance but i don't see the tango here. i don't care if i sound too offensive but at least she is not made for tango and you dude, you need to move more and a little more aggressive.

  • @klepsydro87
    @klepsydro87 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    not very good!!! you have to see in your eyes!!!! and don't dancing to much..but play together!! tango is sex!!! you have to be "caliente!"!! you have to work on the interpretation and sensuality!!!!
