    It’s the same reason I think for why people date from the work place or college. It’s literally the people you see on a daily basis. It’s harder to risk it all for a stranger.

      I think dating in the workplace/dating co-stars shouldn't be allowed. It's not professional

      Definitely. People meet people during college and if you don’t find one at college, it’s likely you find someone at work. Just proximity.

    This was honestly a very fun and interesting conversation. I think the simple reason actors date other actors, is similar to why anyone in any proffession would date co workers. Due to having shared experiences at the same job, as well others have said being the types of people one sees on a regular basis. Also, yes Rachel certainly is a very cute and seems like a sweet person.

    RIP Nicki Aycox. I only knew her from Jeepers Creepers 2 and I thought she was so sweet in that. I think I was looking her up to see what she was up to maybe a few months ago after re-watching it again when I realized she passed away. Very sad.

    I guess it's also the things an acting role can include. I mean even the most secure non-acting people I can imagine are a lot more likely to get jealous about their boyfriend/girlfriend making out with a super hot actor if they aren't also doing the same. Whereas, I'm sure Ryan Reynolds doesn't get jealous about Blake Lively making out with some hot actor in a film because a couple of months later he's going to be making out with Morena Baccarin on screen etc.

    Why not gaffers or bestboys or standins or first ADs...

      Because she cant be in a celebrity power couple to compensate for being a D lister bad actor if she is dating a gaffer. Only class acts like Julia Roberts and John Travolta can make marrying a lighting gaffer and a fan girl look glamouras AF. 😁

      He's not missing much. It's not that good, and Rachel tries too hard to steal the spotlight in that movie, it's nauseating really.

    Isn’t it the perfect storm: 1) availability 2) exposure 3) shared experience 4) hotty-mcgotty. ?

    While the movie 'JUMPER' was a fun movie to watch, it bore almost no resemblance to the story in the original book version (JUMPER - Steven Gould - c.1992).

    I mean with the advent of dating apps this is kind of an excuse. Also, I’m sure actors go out on their days off. They aren’t working 16 hour days every day. I think it just comes down to actors placing a lot of social value on other people in the industry. They say that they like someone who understands the struggles but that feels like an excuse. People outside of your industry are able to grasp your problem and vice versa. This is basically social proof and the law of propinquity at hand. It’s convenient and meeting someone who has been recognized enough to be working on something you are makes them more attractive than say if they were just getting into the industry.

    Actors are celebs. It's safer for celebs to date actors because if one of them spills any secrets to the press, it's mutually assured destruction.

    My guess it's like anything else, it's the people you spend time with. You can actually get to know people.
    Just like any other coworker relationship. Who else do you even see? Who else can you even see?
    But I try to be as professional as possible, and dating coworkers used to be frowned upon or banned by employers, (and to some extent still is).
    ...So, unless I start doing a recreational activity in my nonexistent free time, with my non-existent spare cash. I am never going to meet anyone since certain people have all but outlawed flirting with strangers in person (mutual interest or not).
    *yep that's what she said.

    Hold thee tele! Is that Lex Luther? Adam? Mother fuuuucking Pastor Impastor?! ♥️ ✨ I hate that these phenomenal actors/actresses don’t get the credit they’ll always deserve because idk maybe they don’t sell their souls or private parts 🤷🏽‍♀️ either way they’ve made their mark in the fans hearts ✨ ✨

    Actors act like they are the only people int he world/country who have to work more than 8 hours a day

    • @CharleyCarey
      @CharleyCarey ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No but they do have to work long hours and a lot of people have no respect for that fact.

    • @georgprime4665
      @georgprime4665 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CharleyCareyto add to that. I'd rather have to work long hours of constant manual labor than any job where you're always on call and long stretches of nothing to do but wait because your job is dependent on others. Not just acting, there's lots of jobs of all walks of life that require this dependency.

    Perhaps, it is as simple as there are people in this world that just deserve each other. Obviously, this would include self-absorbed narcissists.🤣
