SoHo's name stands for South of Houston and its northern border is indeed Houston Street (pronounced How-Stan). Inside its boundaries lies the Cast Iron District, the location of the most cast-iron facades and cast-iron constructed buildings in all of New York City.
It's a mixed residential-commercial neighborhood with an upscale vibe. Katherine will show you some street art, boutique stores, street stalls, and much more.

Very different from the Soho london video I just watched. London Soho is very much an entertainment district. This area looks empty. Probably bc its been bought up by the rich.
Great tour, thanks for posting. One thing you could do as a subject for a tour would be tours-by-architect. I've personally dorked out over Robert AM Stern buildings in NYC and walked to a few of them here and there. You could likely reach out to some of the architects and get some stories and details straight from them -- could be pretty interesting.
