Still using my 1999 Sharp 1100 watt microwave oven. Works great. When it dies, if it ever does, I'm going to replace it with another Sharp. The previous one? Another sharp, that lasted 18 years before I dropped it and it stopped working.

I've got a Samsung that's 22 years old that just quit working. Maybe I'll get a Sharp.

My LG NeoChef blew after 1.5 years. The warranty was for only one year. Up until that, it was a good microwave, cooked evenly, and the interior coating was really superior, easy to clean. The other thing I didn't like about it was no stage cooking, and the sensor cooking did not work as well as it did on my 17 year-old Panasonic Genius , which still works fine, but the interior coating fell apart badly.

$600 Holy crap. I am still happy with my old $40 stainless steel microwave oven. It defrosts, pops popcorn, cooks vegetables, heats up my cup of cold coffee, and so on and so on, perfectly. Plus, now that I put it on my home made silencer, it is so quiet that you hardly even notice it at all when it is on. So now I rely on the beeper to remind me that I have something in the oven, since it is so quiet.

@@purity4all I had a sheet of glass, with nice rounded edges, that came with some of my furniture, but I had never used it. It was just a bit smaller than the base of my microwave oven. So the idea was to put the oven on top of the glass, and the glass on top of several dish washing sponges. This would then act as a buffer and prevent the deep hum noise from transferring to my counter top, which had previously basically turned the cabinet below into a damn speaker box. Anyhow, it worked. All I hear now is the cooling fan. Most of the weight of the oven is on the right hand side, so I have 4 sponges on that side, but only two on the left side. The 1 3/4 inch thick sponges squish to about 1/4" thick, but they still do the job. By 4 sponges, I mean that 2 original 3" x 5" x 1 3/4" sponges were cut in half thus creating four 3" x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" sponges, and I used two small black rubber pads on the left side for the left hand side. The only other thing I had to do was add some thin rubber under the ovens cheap plastic feet to stop it from sliding on the glass.

@@purity4all Also, since I had been using the oven for so long, and I had slammed the door a few times too many, some of the door micro-switches kicked the bucket, and this also caused two fuses to blow. But, that's no problem. Someone else had curb dumped their old microwave oven, so I grabbed it, took it home. All the parts that I need were identical in this oven, and they all were still 100% OK. So I transferred them into my oven. Total repair cost, $0.00. Years later, the motor than spins the round plate in the oven, stopped working. This specific motor design is possibly the simplest motor design ever made. Fixing it, is a breeze once you manage to get the casing open. Total repair cost, $0.00.

My best advice I can give you. Just get a Panasonic commercial microwave the type they use in restaurants . they own patents that other microwave companies use. I've seen them fall off the counter get picked up and used no problem even a person in that different video mentions the same thing. I've seen the door repeatedly slammed in anger in the commercial kitchen. No problem there. I've even had them crap out on me just call a restaurant service Tech and then have them repair it instead of having to go out and buy a new one. And they last you years. So much so that I bought one for my house for my personal use don't buy overpriced residential crap by what the professional buy by what they use in the kitchen... trust me when I say they are over built Kind of like the A-10 Thunderbird brrrt. I'll put links in blow.

If I’m not mistaken all microwaves work the same way, so yeah, marketing plays a huge role in that market. Also not a single person who’s passionate about cooking will ever consider a microwave to cook any meal. TH-cam is definitely filled with very confusing and misleading information, and I’m out here trying to find out what to buy while I only use microwaves to heat packaged food I eat when very short on time. I assume not everyone has a decent oven and that’s where all those pointless functions could be useful, but even then, the shittiest oven might be a better choice

Lg neo chef is an excellent 10/10 do not recommend WASTE of money.
Loved it, cool everything perfect but only lasted 9 months before the error codes started. Only way to fix is to replace the board which cost more than the microwave. 10/10 do not recommend

Dear, now the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is found: radiation of microwaveoven.
To stop you have to eliminate the oven out of the house.
The plug out of electricity net because the oven has also radiation when it is not in use.And out of the house because the oven has a high voltage capacitor.
The distance between an oven and a person is very important. After a 2 weeks without microwaves health becomes better.
