Actually it is the same way of wearing the sun cream. You can wear it lightly the whole face , neck and also hands and legs lightly. On cheeks, we wear it thickly because of cheeks are so soft parts of face. Sometimes we wear on forehead, on nose and chin. 😇 By the way, you two look so cute with thanaka.
You can also design thanaka on your cheek and nose with a small brush (like toothbrush).Put thanaka along your index finger. Put it on your cheek (near mouth and nose) and pull backward.That makes thanaka square shape.And you can brush on it with a toothbrush before it's dry.
Lighter texture of thanakar is better I think. Myanmar is tropical country, so normally it's hot and get a lot of sun. So after applying thanakar, it makes us feel cool, it's refreshing scent help us too, it's UV level is low though. It is not ideal to use it alone when you live in cold countries like yours. သနပ်ခါးကြိုက်တဲ့ ကောင်လေးများ 타바남 thabanam ahh OK, what I said in Burmese is the green one you guys put on your face is more suitable for ACNE skin and it also have whitening benefit bcoz of lime. If you don’t have skin problem, you better choose another color just for cooling and soothing effect. In Myanmar, we have high temperatures mostly everyday. So people put Thanakha on their face and body to protect from UV. Generally we put on thin layer of Thanakha all over on face like a foundation, then we draw a beautiful circle or various designs like u want to decorate on our cheek with a thick layer of Thanakha. We can assume it’s just for beauty or maybe for more UV protection bcoz cheek area is most problematic area to get freckles and spots. If u get sunburnt after trip, shower then put on Thanakha from face to legs, you will get a feeling of cooling and fast recovery of sunburn. But Korea has very cold weather most of the time, so you should put sufficient amount of moisturizer before putting on Thanakha not to get dry skin.
