Thank you Fiona. A voice of common sense.

    Not banned, never entitled

Yet again, nobody is really being 'banned' from anything. All that is happening is that everyone is being treated equally by allowing them to play in the category defined by their sex. Excellent news, but still a way to go.

If man qualities then a woman is banned by default?

Surely female cricketers at grass roots level have the same biology as élites?

There shouldn't be 'everyone' in women's sport...... Only biological chromosomal women should be eligible for womens sport. So NO, not excellent news..... Just gross stupidity

As an adult male playing amateur cricket, I often find other adult males bowling at me, generally rather quickly, also a bit terrifying.

Many women seek out male teams to compete in because it raises their skill levels.

Because there are not enough girls' leagues or teams, too. That's changing slowly

@@nikobellic570 You evidently do not know enough about League Cricket in the North of England. My club, and most of our opponents, have Womens' Teams and Junior Girs' Teams.

ECB are pathetic. 'Cheating' still allowed then here eh, despite this basic nod to sensibility regarding international rules.

Grass roots lead to athletic level so it’s unfair for less powerful girls and women to be treated this way. It’ll have a negative impact.

So basically cut women's cricket at the roots 😳😳

I think you're overestimating how many trans cricket players there are

  • @dawnb8123

So they'll destroy the grass roots levels of women's cricket, then wonder why there aren't enough women to make "elite" teams, ergo women's cricket will disappear because women will stop playing.

This obviously won't happen though, will it?

Didn't we see the result of this nonsense in the Olympics? Male boxers won some women's medals.
