Billie Eilish has spoken about Synesthesia for years, even did an entire art experience for her fans where every room in the place matched the colours that she experienced while making the songs on one of her albums. If I remember correctly Lorde also has it, and has spoken about it in interviews before, and both of them have been around for years longer than Olivia so I'm not sure why you say "finally".
